Galliard

Galliard is a Dark Elf hunter who remains in the Tutorial for decades while pursuing Akasha's Snake and a pendant containing his lost family's picture. He becomes Jeong-woo's first teacher, later teaches Yeon-woo the movement art Shunpo, and finds a second family in Brahm and Sesha.

Biography

The hunter bound to Akasha's Snake

After Akasha's Snake kills his family, Galliard remains in the Tutorial, repeatedly hunting it while testing players who seek his bait and techniques. Yeon-woo passes that test, receives Shunpo, and later recovers Galliard's lost family pendant from the snake's remains. In gratitude, Galliard protects the unconscious Yeon-woo and stabilizes his overflowing energy, but recovering the keepsake also ends the purpose that had kept him from climbing the Tower. A second family in the Demons' Forest

Galliard eventually climbs to Brahm and defends his friend's home from the Elohim, using the forest and his mobility to hold off ranker-level pursuers until Yeon-woo intervenes. When Agares reveals that Sesha is Jeong-woo's daughter, Galliard's loyalty to his former student makes protecting her personal, and he follows Brahm's request to take her away. Brahm's survival leaves Galliard openly relieved that his new family remains intact. (Chapters 187–210)

Archer of the restored Arthia

Galliard continues beside Brahm, Sesha, and Yeon-woo as Arthia's conflicts expand into Tartarus and the Underworld. His role centers on ranged cover, movement, and protecting the family members who cannot safely remain at the front. During the collapse beyond the Tower, he carries Sesha with the withdrawing convoy while the divine and undead forces guard their escape, preserving the responsibility he accepted when he learned whose daughter she was. Appearance and personality

Galliard is a tall Dark Elf, about 190 centimeters, with brown skin, long pointed ears, handsome features, and a sturdy but lean hunter's build. He is most often equipped with a bow, specially prepared arrows, and practical field gear suited to moving through forests and rough terrain. (Chapters 34, 188)

He appears suspicious, curt, and self-contained, especially around strangers, but his actions reveal a conscientious teacher and fiercely protective friend. Galliard keeps promises, repays debts with more help than he admits, and shows little interest in public recognition. The losses behind his reserve make his emotional attachment to Brahm and Sesha especially direct. (Chapters 34–44, 189, 210)

Abilities and powers

Shunpo

Galliard's signature Dark Elf movement art minimizes wasted motion, increasing speed and suppressing sound while following highly efficient paths. Its specialization leaves traces that sufficiently perceptive eyes can read, which allows Yeon-woo to catch him during the Tutorial. Galliard's mastery nevertheless produces several combat modes: Transposition leaves a misleading afterimage, Thousand Golden Wave supports rapid evasion, Inverted Energy changes his trajectory into the air, and Archer turns the movement into a close-range assault. Archery, martial skill, and fieldcraft

Galliard fires iron arrows rapidly enough to pressure rankers, using explosive, incendiary, and shock effects to punish both evasion and blocking. A bow is only one tool: he can cut wrists and tendons with a hand-held arrow and combine feints, traps, terrain, and pursuit into one hunting method. Dense forest improves his concealment, while wide-area attacks and enemies who can track his movement restrict that advantage. (Chapters 42, 188–189)

Undine's Divine Water

Galliard can prepare Undine's Goblet and apply the same principle directly to a living body's magic circuit as Undine's Divine Water. He uses it to calm Yeon-woo's deviating energy, improve absorption, and prevent a dangerous overload. The procedure consumes a prepared goblet and requires the patient's existing condition to be manageable; Galliard warns that a body with more accumulated mana could have suffered catastrophic failure. (Chapters 34–35, 43)

Relationships

• Yeon-woo: Galliard tests and teaches Yeon-woo, saves him after the Akasha's Snake hunt, and later accepts him as a trusted protector of Brahm and Sesha.
• Jeong-woo: Jeong-woo is Galliard's first notable student in the Tower's story. His death devastates Galliard, and learning that Sesha is his daughter renews the teacher's protective responsibility.
• Brahm: Brahm is Galliard's old friend and chosen family. Galliard climbs the Tower to stay with him and repeatedly defends his household.
• Sesha: Sesha becomes Galliard's family after his original family is lost. He protects her during the Demons' Forest crisis and carries her during the evacuation beyond the Tower.
• Ananta: Galliard accepts Ananta as part of the same household centered on Brahm and Sesha and supports the family's survival through Arthia's campaigns.
