Hughl

Hughl is the Head Bishop of the Devil Army and a player once ranked third on the Tower's combat list. After the Heavenly Demon abandons his followers and the Tower collapses, Hughl leads the surviving bishops into Pandemonium and gradually exchanges demonic ferocity for cautious peace in the Bull Demon King's magic region.

Biography

A head bishop learns to pause

Hughl's reputation first reaches Yeon-woo through a ranking trial that places the Head Bishop above Jeong-woo's recorded position. He later leads the Devil Army after its faith in the Heavenly Demon turns to resentment, joining Pandemonium and sheltering under the Bull Demon King. Years in the fertile Northern Magic Temple soften both his appearance and manner. When the One-horned tribe invites former enemies to Yeon-woo's wedding, Hughl weighs their grudge against political reality, accepts Kindred's counsel to attend, and treats the meeting as a step toward public recovery rather than immediate revenge. (Chapters 167–186, 628, 737, 847)

Appearance and personality

Hughl once wears court dress and projects fierce demonic and chaotic energy through dark pupils. In the magic region, he dresses like a farmer in frayed clothes; his eyes become clear like glass and his old aura disappears. He remains wary and politically alert, keeping spies outside the refuge, but now appreciates peace and accepts that restoring the Devil Army's standing requires patience. (Chapter 847)

Abilities and powers

The ranking trial establishes Hughl as an elite combatant, while his position as Head Bishop gives him command over the Devil Army's followers and intelligence network. The scoped chapters do not name his personal attacks or explain the source of his demonic and chaotic aura. His latest strength is therefore shown institutionally: he maintains hidden observers beyond the magic region and can decide whether the recovering Devil Army re-enters heavenly politics. (Chapters 183–186, 628, 847)
