Hayang

Hayang is a High Guardian known as the Snake and one of the Central Bureau's most capable system administrators. Formerly an adviser close to Yvlke, he turns against the director and escapes with a final system key, enduring a curse that even his administrative knowledge cannot remove.

Biography

The administrator who fled with the key

Hayang first serves as Yvlke's pale, sharp-eyed adviser, applying extensive knowledge of the Bureau, the heavenly world, and Allforone to the director's search for Laplace. When Yvlke's hidden agenda becomes a threat, Hayang escapes with the final key on the sixty-sixth floor but receives Gaia's Curse in the process. Ananta carries the badly weakened Guardian through pursuit until Yeon-woo's allies save him; Hayang then gives Yeon-woo the system key, allowing it to become leverage in the confrontation around Allforone. Appearance and personality

Hayang has pale skin, cunning eyes, and a sickly appearance that makes him seem close to fainting even before his injury. Gaia's Curse leaves him exhausted and bleeding white blood from an unhealing wound. He is analytical and suspicious, but his decision to preserve the key shows that he can act against his former superior when the Tower's system is endangered. (Chapters 483, 633, 641)

Abilities and powers

Hayang's strength is administrative rather than frontline combat. He is described as the Central Bureau administrator best able to manage the Tower's system and understands its authorities well enough to preserve and transfer a final system key. That expertise cannot solve every supernatural problem: Gaia's Curse continues festering despite everything he knows, leaving him dependent on Ananta and Yeon-woo's allies for survival. His latest demonstrated contribution is the key, not renewed combat. (Chapters 633–644)
