Erlang Shen

Erlang Shen is a senior divine warrior and envoy of the Chan Sect. His relationship with Yeon-woo begins through a combat blessing, grows strained when the godly societies question Yeon-woo's actions, and develops into a practical alliance built around exchanged assistance. He remains responsible to the Jade Emperor and his society even when his personal judgment favors Yeon-woo.

Biography

A cautious divine patron

Erlang first supports Yeon-woo by adding Dragon Kill to the fighting side of Sky Wings, marking him as a divine observer willing to invest in the player's growth. That favor is not unconditional. When Yeon-woo breaks with the heavenly societies, Erlang shares their suspicion and loses the Channel as Yeon-woo severs outside powers himself. He later descends as a Chan Sect envoy, facing Agares' demonic pressure without retreating while reassessing whether cooperation with Yeon-woo is still possible. (Chapters 380, 488–509)

An alliance limited by institutional duty

Erlang negotiates an alliance in which Chan Sect helps Yeon-woo's forces and Yeon-woo assists its search for the Stone of Avaritia. He continues sharing information and privately warns Yeon-woo during later political confrontations, but the Jade Emperor's disappearance forces Erlang and Prince Nezha to leave the coalition and protect their own society. After battles devastate Chan Sect's territory, Erlang receives Yeon-woo at Xuantu and invokes the exchange they made before the Crawling Chaos hunt. Erlang continues commanding exhausted divine forces and answers Yeon-woo's urgent questions despite the Black King's intimidating descent, preserving a difficult but functional alliance through the collapse of the old heavenly order. Erlang appears in a humanoid divine manifestation with the controlled bearing of a senior envoy. The scoped evidence emphasizes his changing expression rather than a detailed physical inventory: suspicion, concern, and a darkened or stiffened face reveal when events threaten Chan Sect. Dragon Kill is a combat power Erlang can transmit through a divine Channel; it becomes one component of Sky Wings' Fight keyword.
