Lady Minerva

Lady Minerva is a calculating Hand of God Lord who leads the Trial Garden expedition and uses summoned beasts to contest its central treasure.

Biography

A Lord Leading Through the Trial Planet

Jack first hears of Minerva as one of the Lords of the Hand of God, a faction created to enforce the Star Pact but also organized as a full cultivation faction. She arrives at the Trial Planet’s later rings with a team that includes a dryad, and quickly assumes command alongside the other Lords. When the group reaches the Trial Garden, Minerva lays down the rules: follow her instructions, avoid unnecessary risks, and share the rewards. Her caution is practical rather than passive; she tests the misty route by sending a formation master ahead and weighs the risk before agreeing to proceed through the seal house. (Chapters 170, 191, 197–199)

Minerva’s authority is tested at the garden’s core, where the cultivators face seven formations and a single Dao Sprouting Pill. She cooperates with the other leaders long enough to reach the prize, but the contest turns into a factional battle. Her belt summons a succession of beasts, including a wolf, turtle, hippo, boar, and octopus; she uses them to pressure Jack and protect her claim while other fighters attack. When Jack is accused of violating the Star Pact, she chooses “Death” and sends her beasts to help corner him. Priya intervenes, saying Jack belongs to Exploding Sun, but Minerva does not yield her position. The struggle ends with Jack escaping and the garden’s competing factions in disarray; Minerva’s fate after the garden is unknown. (Chapters 203, 205–213)

Appearance and personality

Minerva commands attention and is treated by the other Lords as a leader. She is calculating, cautious around traps, and willing to impose a severe punishment when she believes the Star Pact has been broken. (Chapters 197–200, 203, 208)

Abilities and cultivation

Summoned beasts

Minerva’s leather belt releases summoned creatures formed from light. She uses a sparrow for scouting and fighting, and can call larger beasts such as a bear, eagle, ancient turtle, wolf, hippo, boar, and octopus. During the Dao Sprouting Pill battle she changes beasts in response to the fight, riding the hippo and later replacing it with the boar and octopus. Her team also includes a dryad healer. Some summoned creatures are Elite beasts, and her team’s Elite beasts reach peak E-Grade. Minerva’s own Grade, Level, and any permanent cultivation change remain unknown. (Chapters 192, 199, 205–210)
