Arch Priestess

The Arch Priestess is the masked, space-monster leader of the Black Hole Church. She organizes the Church’s resistance to the Immortals, puts Jack forward as its champion, and later sacrifices her inner world to shield the army from Enas’s attack. Her private bond with Brock complicates the Church’s hierarchy with a relationship neither Jack nor the others expect. (Chapters 483–558)

Biography

Leading the Church Through the Second Crusade

The Arch Priestess summons Jack and Brock to the New Cathedral after they become central to the Church’s prospects. She speaks to Jack about the risks of his cultivation and the Church’s position, then takes part in decisions that put him at the center of the conflict. Her authority is practical: when Church forces are pushed back, she orders a retreat rather than continuing to sacrifice cultivators without understanding the enemy’s new methods. She later accepts Jack’s contribution to the Church’s political position, thanking him for taking a dangerous role when her faction had no better way forward. (Chapters 483–499)

Her strategy is to force the Space Monster World to reckon with the Immortals’ threat before the System reaches it. She has moved Church forces into the galaxy where the Space Monster World is located, which the Overlord recognizes as a tactic meant to compel an alliance. The Arch Priestess argues that the Immortals will eventually use the System to isolate or invade the monsters whether they join the war or not. She backs that argument with a belief in the next generation, pointing to Jack and Brock as evidence that the Church can still produce cultivators capable of surpassing the Immortals. The summit does not immediately settle the alliance, but her political gambit gives Jack a reason to enter the Space Monster World and help secure it. (Chapters 497–500)

Brock’s Partner and the Church’s Champion

The Arch Priestess’s relationship with Brock begins as an unexpected personal connection. She first visits him to discuss his perspective as a beast-born cultivator; Jack later discovers that they are intimate. Her visits become more frequent, and they later begin courting. She does not treat Brock merely as a useful powerhouse: during the war, she openly praises his growth and later diverts her own power to protect him. Their relationship is unusual to the Church’s hierarchy, but it persists in the private and public life they share. (Chapters 493–496, 552, 558)

The Arch Priestess also invests directly in Jack and Brock’s survival. She provides Jack with resources, prepares a peak B-Grade energy clone to accompany them, and secures high-grade transformation potions for their mission into the Space Monster World. The clone’s potion is destroyed before the expedition, leaving Jack and Brock to enter without her. Even so, the Arch Priestess’s planning and investment help them reach the world and win support for the Church. At the final assembly she presents them as champions, thanking the monsters who have joined the Church’s cause. (Chapters 496, 500, 503, 548–551)

Final Stand Against the Immortals

The Arch Priestess leads the Church’s forces into the final battle and asks Jack to use his mastery of spatial laws to move the armies. She directs the Church army to protect him, but the Immortal and Old God forces overwhelm the formations. When the Arch Priestess realizes the Gods had used the Church to keep the Immortal army from building a larger formation, she recognizes that her political plan has failed. She nevertheless orders the Church cultivators to protect Axelor with their lives, maintaining her responsibility to her allies even as the battlefield collapses. (Chapters 551–556)

Enas attacks Jack and Brock directly. The Arch Priestess attempts to intervene, is struck down, and is left near death. After she regains consciousness, she sees Enas’s attack moving toward Brock and the Church forces. She rises between them, reveals her tiger-like face beneath the mask, and detonates her inner world to block the green beam. Her last words to Jack are to save the others for her. The blast diverts the attack long enough for Brock to complete the power-gathering effort that turns the battle, but the Arch Priestess’s own condition afterward is not stated. (Chapters 557–558)

Appearance and personality

The Arch Priestess normally wears white robes that cover her body, with a veil and mask concealing all but her eyes and feet. She is a space monster, and her true face is tiger-like. Her main body’s aura overwhelms even Jack’s when he stands among the Church’s Archons; in combat, cracks of white light spread across her form before she detonates her inner world. (Chapters 496, 551, 558)

She is strategic, proud, and willing to bear responsibility for difficult decisions. She gambles on Jack when Church leaders believe the odds are hopeless, but also acknowledges when her plan fails. She is caring toward Brock and treats him as a partner, and her final act places the Church’s survival above her own. (Chapters 498–499, 552, 556–558)

Abilities and cultivation

The Arch Priestess is an extreme Archon, the Black Hole Church’s highest leader and one of its strongest combatants. Her true species is a space monster. Her abilities include control of plant roots, a protective aura, flight, command over Church forces, a powerful B-Grade energy clone, and destruction of her inner world as a final attack. The exact origin and mechanics of her broader cultivation are unknown. (Chapters 483–484, 500–503, 551, 554, 558)

Archon power and inner-world detonation

The Arch Priestess’s main body operates at Archon level and is later identified as an extreme Archon. Her aura far exceeds Jack’s at the Church’s final assembly, and she flies directly into battle against the Heaven Immortal. When Enas attacks the Church army, the Arch Priestess first attempts to strike him and is nearly killed. After recovering consciousness, she detonates her inner world to intercept his green beam. The explosion consumes her inner-world cultivation and shields Brock and the surrounding Church forces long enough for the battle to turn. This is a final, destructive use of her power; no recovery or restoration is recorded. (Chapters 551, 554, 557–558)

Energy clone and protective aura

The Arch Priestess’s energy clone has an aura at peak B-Grade, while retaining Dao understanding far beyond an ordinary B-Grade. Its energy reserves are much smaller than the main body’s, making it a limited protector rather than a replacement for her. The clone was intended to accompany Jack and Brock into the Space Monster World, but its transformation potion is destroyed before departure. Separately, the protective aura around Jack during an attack is identified as originating from the Arch Priestess, showing that she can defend allies from a distance. (Chapters 500–503)

Root growth and Church command

At a wave of her hand, roots grow from the floor and form chairs, demonstrating precise control over plant growth. In war, she coordinates Church forces, orders retreats, directs the defense of Axelor, and rallies cultivators to protect Jack. These command decisions are not presented as a separate cultivation stage, but they show how she applies her power and authority beyond direct combat. (Chapters 484, 495, 551–556)
