Reverse Flow River

Reverse Flow River is a secluded domain of heaven and earth whose current strips away methods and forces those within it to continue through endurance. The Legends of Ren Zu presents it as the last of three obstacles after Dang Hun Mountain and Luo Po Valley: anyone who stops moving is carried backward. (Chapters 410 and 435)

Refinement and use

During the contest inside the river, Fang Yuan's refusal to stop becomes the basis for refining it. He later stores the river in the sovereign immortal aperture and develops Reverse Flow Protection Seal, a defensive killer move that redirects attacks through the river's reversal effect. The domain's mass places a continuing burden on the aperture's heaven and earth qi. (Chapters 1288–1290, 1395, and 1599)

The protection is formidable but not absolute. Enemies study the river's operation and devise collision or penetration methods that disturb its flow, showing that the domain can be countered when a technique targets the mechanism sustaining the seal. (Chapter 2281)
