Fate Gu

Fate Gu is a rank-nine heaven path Immortal Gu maintained by Heavenly Court and defended by figures including Duke Long. It embodies the course imposed by fate and is treated in The Legends of Ren Zu as a force whose traces constrain the roads beings may take. (Chapters 561 and 646)

Damage, repair, and destruction

Red Lotus Demon Venerable damages Fate Gu but cannot destroy it outright, an achievement that becomes central to later venerable arrangements. Heavenly Court commits immense manpower and resources to its restoration, while its enemies contest whether a repaired Fate Gu should again determine the world's course. Feng Jiu Ge and Fang Yuan become decisive participants in the final struggle over it. (Chapters 1694 and 1847)

Fate Gu is ultimately destroyed rather than claimed as an ordinary possession. Its loss changes the conditions governing the world and makes later revival and conflict possible in ways the intact Gu had restricted. The effects endure long after the battle, so “destroyed” describes the object rather than the end of its influence on history. (Chapters 1962–1966 and 2317)
