Rebellion against fate

Red Lotus begins as Duke Long’s disciple and Heavenly Court’s destined Immortal Venerable, but repeated loss and rebirth turn him against Fate Gu. Across many attempts he lays out true inheritances, recruits future inheritors, and designs the conditions for Fate Gu’s destruction. Fang Yuan ultimately completes that plan during the Fate War, using arrangements Red Lotus could not execute alone while alive. (Chapters 546, 552)
