Death and mudman reconstruction

Ni Jian is a young village clan leader whose peaceful day ends when a demonic expert massacres the entire settlement, including him. A mud ball later expands, takes his form, and answers to his name. The resulting mudman preserves an image and identity useful to later plans, but it is a constructed being rather than proof that the murdered youth naturally survived.
