Mo Yao's will

Mo Yao's will is a fake will left by the deceased Fairy Mo Yao inside her Di Qiu arrangement and Water Pavilion. It carries the original rank-seven immortal's refinement memories and personality but has no immortal aperture or cultivation rank of its own. After entering Fang Yuan's mind, it acts as both teacher and hidden manipulator, hoping to seize Spring Autumn Cicada for rebirth. Fang Yuan exposes the plan, imprisons the will, extracts its memories, and finally reduces its aura and pattern to expendable tools. (Chapters 568–579, 622, 644–654, and 994–1019)

Biography

Awakening in Water Pavilion and entry into Fang Yuan's mind

The historical Mo Yao was Spirit Affinity House's thirty-sixth-generation fairy, a rank-seven refinement grandmaster, and the lover of Bo Qing. Ten thousand years after her death, Fang Yuan completes part of the Di Qiu arrangement and enters Water Pavilion. The stored will awakens, silently slips into his mind, and presents itself as a guilty remnant that wants the house returned to Spirit Affinity House. In exchange, it offers refinement insights and secrets concerning Eighty-Eight True Yang Building. (Chapters 566–568 and 622)

The assistance is real. The will teaches shower and ink transformation, improves Six Arm Heavenly Zombie King, advises Fang Yuan inside True Yang Building, and uses Water Pavilion to save him from Giant Sun's will. Its motive is concealed inside those benefits. Fake will can disguise itself as the target's thoughts, so Mo Yao's will pushes Fang Yuan toward escalating risks, gives a false safe duration for the zombie transformation, and repeatedly makes him consider using Spring Autumn Cicada. It needs him alive but desperate enough to self-detonate, allowing the will to enter the cicada, replace his consciousness, and search the river of time for Red Lotus's inheritance. Exposure, suppression, and extraction of memories

Fang Yuan notices that the will protects him at moments inconsistent with its stated wish to return Water Pavilion. He reconstructs the plan, tricks most of the will into his immortal aperture, and strips away the Gu and immortal essence that replenish or support it. The will admits its type and purpose after the deception fails. Inside the aperture it cannot self-detonate, though it initially keeps enough autonomy to cooperate selectively, hide memories, and hope that Fang Yuan's death will open a route of escape. Dong Fang Chang Fan's wisdom-path inheritance later gives Fang Yuan methods precise enough to immobilize the fake will, prevent its suicide, and search its memories. He replenishes only what he needs for repeated extraction and uses star will to fight it as training. At first Mo Yao's experience overwhelms him; later he reduces the exchange from a hundred portions of his will for one of hers to complete dominance. By wisdom-path grandmaster level, he can suppress her with a fraction of his former effort and no longer needs her as an opponent. (Chapters 820–846, 887, and 916)

Depletion as an aura template and separation from Mo Yao's remnant soul

At Falling Heavenly River, Fang Yuan uses the captive will's authentic aura to draw out Bo Qing's protected corpse and lure its Immortal Gu. Most of the remaining will dissipates in the process, leaving barely enough to conceal his departure. He can then create additional Mo Yao-pattern fake wills through his own wisdom-path methods and spends those copies as sealing and refinement material. The original captive consequently loses any confirmed independent role without receiving a new body or rank. (Chapters 994–1000 and 1019)

The entity inside Bo Qing's immortal-zombie body is separately identified as Mo Yao's remnant soul. Its awakening and actions do not mean that the fake will escaped, revived, or possessed Bo Qing. Fang Yuan succeeds precisely because the will and soul are distinct enough for one to be used as an aura disguise against the other. Later summaries continue to call the Imperial Court entity a fake will and describe its effects in the past. (Chapters 962–1011, 1086, and 1608)

Appearance and personality

Within the mind, the will takes the form of a graceful, slim woman with shining dark eyes and a black veil covering her face. It reproduces Mo Yao's elegance, refinement pride, longing for Bo Qing, and memories of Spirit Affinity House. Its temperament is layered rather than inconsistent: it can sincerely admire Fang Yuan's innovations and still manipulate him toward death, because instruction, protection, and sabotage all serve its hoped-for rebirth. Under captivity, charm gives way to anger and a persistent survival instinct. (Chapters 568, 644–645, 654, and 830–846)

Abilities and cultivation

Fake-will thought manipulation

Fake will can disguise itself as another person's ordinary thoughts, collide with those thoughts, and alter the conclusions of their thinking. Inside Fang Yuan's mind, the will reads exposed thoughts, hides from crude searches, amplifies emotion, and nudges choices while making them feel self-generated. It cannot simply command him, and every collision consumes part of the will. Strong suspicion, protected thoughts, specialized wisdom-path methods, or loss of replenishment make the influence progressively weaker. (Chapters 568–580 and 644–645)

Replenishment and persistence

The will is not a self-sustaining soul. Delight in Water and Mountain creates joyful will, which a set of other Gu converts into fake will, while Water Pavilion's red-date immortal essence supports those processes and lets the will control the house. Once Fang Yuan separates it from those resources, thinking and fighting consume it permanently unless he deliberately nourishes or recreates more. This dependency is why imprisonment changes it from an autonomous conspirator into a controlled quantity. (Chapters 568–569, 639–645, 693, and 830)

Refinement knowledge

Mo Yao's refinement-grandmaster memories let the will diagnose recipes, improve killer moves, teach techniques, and recognize subtle relations among Gu. Shower can speed refinement by roughly thirty percent and improve quality by twenty percent, but excessive use causes dizziness, failed refinement, soul injury, memory loss, or dementia. The will's knowledge is broad, yet formal rank and attainment belong to the deceased original; memories do not give this thought construct an immortal aperture or independent rank-seven power. Water Pavilion control and latest state

While linked to Water Pavilion, the will can conceal the house, turn it into defensive liquid armor, shield Fang Yuan's mind, and spend the original's remaining immortal essence. Limited essence and the loss of the house's core sharply restrict these actions, and Fang Yuan eventually removes the connection. Its latest established use is more limited still: the captive is nearly depleted, while recreated Mo Yao-pattern fake wills function as expendable aura, sealing, and refinement material under Fang Yuan's control. Those copies do not establish the autonomous will's survival. (Chapters 639–645 and 994–1019)

Fang Yuan

Fang Yuan is first the host and intended vehicle of the will's rebirth plan, then its captor and beneficiary. The will gives him genuine refinement instruction while covertly changing his decisions, and he answers by studying its limits until he can imprison and reproduce its pattern. Their conflict leaves each with something taken from the other: Fang Yuan carries its knowledge, while the will's attempted manipulation contributes to the immortal-zombie state that reshapes his path. (Chapters 568–654 and 820–1019)

Bo Qing

The will carries Mo Yao's love and regret toward Bo Qing and nearly collapses when told he is dead. That emotion helps Fang Yuan use its aura against Bo Qing's corpse. The later Mo Yao remnant soul within the corpse is closer to the original person than the fake will, but remains a separate soul-state; it is not the will's continuation. (Chapters 568, 654, 962, 994, and 1011)

Giant Sun Immortal Venerable

Mo Yao originally enters Eighty-Eight True Yang Building, studies its arrangements, and leaves the inheritance trap that produces the will. In the present, the will advises Fang Yuan against Giant Sun's special will and protects him with Water Pavilion, while secretly using the crisis to make Spring Autumn Cicada seem like his only escape. Giant Sun's pressure advances its plan but also forces it to expose the defensive intervention that betrays its hidden interest. (Chapters 566–568 and 637–645)
