Lu Wei Yin

Lu Wei Yin is the Southern Border inheritor of Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable and the leading Gu Immortal of Virtue Paradise. His earth-path battlefields emphasize protection, restraint, and reform rather than killing. After failing to change Fang Yuan through three simulated lifetimes, Lu later allies with him to ambush Spectral Soul and revive Paradise Earth. Fang Yuan's killing of the revived venerable leaves Lu angry but strategically trapped; he ultimately submits to the Heaven and Earth Great Love Alliance to preserve his people and remaining influence. Biography

Paradise Earth inheritor and attempted reform of Fang Yuan

Lu first guides Ye Fan from concealment, saves the upper extreme heavenly eagle, and removes Heavenly Court's investigative methods from it. His direct intervention comes when Fang Yuan threatens several Southern Border cultivators. Lu places himself between the attacker and the mortals, reveals rank-eight cultivation, and encloses everyone inside a prepared battlefield. When other immortals ask him to kill Fang Yuan, Lu insists that no person is born purely evil and that even a mass murderer should receive a chance to change. (Chapters 1409, 1423, and 1537–1539)

Fetus Earth Maze combines three rank-eight killer moves into a dream realm modeled on reincarnation. Lu draws in the witnesses' wills and makes Fang Yuan experience three mortal lifetimes, hoping ordinary love, loss, and responsibility will loosen his ambition. Lu can influence the dream but not completely control it, and Fang Yuan repeatedly breaks its expected route. At the end, Lu admits that neither three nor a hundred such lives would erase Fang Yuan's chosen goal. Later Southern Border pursuit also fails to remove him, establishing the limit of an inheritor whose strongest methods restrain and reform rather than kill. (Chapters 1538–1548, 1603, and 1706)

Ambush of Spectral Soul and alliance with Fang Yuan

After the Fate War, Lu follows Paradise Earth's will and prepares an earth-path battlefield along the route of Spectral Soul's pursuit. Fang Yuan lures Spectral Soul into the trap, where Lu reveals himself and coordinates with Qing Chou and Fang Yuan's clones. Illusory Sand Shifting Shadow Battlefield hides the combat from the pursuing factions and adds layered restrictions, but Spectral Soul tears through those layers and forces Lu's group into a prolonged defensive struggle. Their intervention nevertheless helps Fang Yuan survive and advances Paradise Earth's old purpose of suppressing Spectral Soul. (Chapters 2047–2059)

Lu then receives Fang Yuan in Mushroomman Paradise and turns battlefield cooperation into a negotiated alliance. He explains Paradise Earth's arrangements, the conditions for venerable ascension, and the coming Crazed Demon Cave contest, while Fang Yuan studies the true inheritances and resources offered to secure his participation. Lu no longer treats moral reform as the practical solution. He deals with Fang Yuan as an independent power whose strength is necessary for Paradise Earth's revival, without pretending that necessity creates trust. (Chapters 2082–2088 and 2139–2157)

Crazed Demon Cave, Paradise Earth's death, and submission

Inside Crazed Demon Cave, Lu's defense has reached pseudo-venerable scale. He helps hold Yellow Earth Great World, fights Heavenly Court's pseudo-venerables, enters the Door of Life and Death, and supports Paradise Earth's return. When the revived Paradise Earth tries to restore full venerable cultivation, Lu surrenders his truthful floating ice and rushes to save him from the two attacking venerables. Fang Yuan reaches Paradise Earth first and delivers the fatal blow, destroying the person around whom Lu's alliance and future were organized. (Chapters 2157–2210)

Lu survives the cave with severe injuries and deep anger toward Fang Yuan. Shen Shang heals him and helps frame the decision that follows: Mushroomman Paradise's people are already inside Fang Yuan's sovereign aperture, the political balance is dominated by venerables, and Lu alone cannot protect them through open hostility. He therefore joins Fang Yuan with Shen Shang and helps bring Eastern Sea's righteous forces into the Heaven and Earth Great Love Alliance. His later missions in Western Desert and against Heavenly Court show real service, but not an erasure of the grievance that compelled the choice. (Chapters 2217–2220 and 2255–2259)

Appearance and personality

Lu initially conceals himself beneath a conical hat and plain grey clothing, presenting the quiet manner of a wandering teacher rather than a rank-eight regional power. He smiles often, speaks through karma and mercy, and prefers calm persuasion even while controlling an inescapable battlefield. That gentleness is not passivity: he plans ambushes, withholds information, and makes severe bargains when Paradise Earth's purpose demands them. After Paradise Earth's death, his anger and submission reveal a practical streak able to coexist painfully with loyalty. (Chapters 1409, 1537–1548, 2047, and 2210–2217)

Abilities and cultivation

Earth-path defense

Lu is a rank-eight earth-path Gu Immortal whose personal battle profile is explicitly concentrated in defense. He protects multiple weaker immortals while facing immemorial year beasts, constructs shields and walls under pressure, and endures attacks that would overwhelm ordinary rank eights. By Crazed Demon Cave that defense is evaluated at pseudo-venerable level. The qualification is narrow: his offense does not receive the same rating, he struggles to finish comparable experts, and a true venerable can still kill him. Fetus Earth Maze and Three Lifetime Dreams Reform a Chosen One

Fetus Earth Maze is an immortal battlefield built from three rank-eight killer moves. It traps targets in an orange-yellow world and creates a dream realm that makes them live three complete mortal lives. Participants' wills can enter and shape the emotional environment, while Lu influences the route toward moral reform. He cannot dictate every development or guarantee the conclusion. Fang Yuan's ambition repeatedly breaks away from the intended course, proving that a sufficiently fixed target can endure the experience without accepting its lesson. (Chapters 1538–1548 and 2088)

Illusory Sand Shifting Shadow Battlefield

This layered earth-path battlefield conceals Fang Yuan, Spectral Soul, and their opponents from outside pursuit while Lu manipulates sand into restraints, dragons, and defensive structures. It is well suited to an ambush because enemies first have to recognize and tear apart its layers. Spectral Soul's exceptional soul-path power breaks those layers far faster than Lu expects, and the battlefield cannot supply decisive offense on its own. Its best results come from controlling space long enough for allied rank-eight attackers to cooperate. (Chapters 2047–2053)

Paradise Earth inheritance and latest state

As Paradise Earth's current inheritor, Lu commands Virtue Paradise and possesses extensive knowledge of venerable arrangements, true inheritances, karma, and defensive battlefield methods. This access gives him strategic authority but does not transfer Paradise Earth's rank or guarantee the success of revival. After the cave, Lu remains personally rank eight with pseudo-venerable defense and serves Fang Yuan's alliance. Fang Yuan

Lu first treats Fang Yuan as a demon who must be reformed, then as bait and an indispensable ally against Spectral Soul, and finally as the killer of Paradise Earth. Their relationship is governed by power rather than affection. Lu joins because Fang Yuan controls the mushroommen's security and the alliance most able to protect his remaining interests, while Fang Yuan values Lu's defensive battle strength, inheritances, and political credibility. Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable

Paradise Earth's philosophy, will, and revival plan define Lu's public role and private purpose. Lu inherits the commitment to protect life and lacks ordinary offensive methods, yet he is also willing to ambush Spectral Soul and bargain with Fang Yuan to restore his lord. Paradise Earth's death removes the center of Lu's independent faction and turns an heir with a clear mission into a powerful survivor searching for the least destructive available allegiance. Shen Shang

Lu and Shen Shang share ties to Paradise Earth's guidance and fight together through Crazed Demon Cave. Shen Shang's human-path healing shortens Lu's otherwise long recovery and gives personal weight to the later proposal that both men join Fang Yuan. Lu recognizes the strategic argument independently, but follows Shen Shang in part to repay the aid received after the cave. (Chapters 2193–2217)
