Fang Zheng
Fang Zheng is Fang Yuan's twin brother and a Heavenly Court blood path Gu Immortal. He begins as an insecure youth overshadowed by his brother's reputation, becomes Gu Yue Village's favored A-grade talent, and survives the village's destruction only to be shaped into a weapon against Fang Yuan. His later command of Demon Judgment Board gives him authority of his own while preserving the family bond that powerful factions repeatedly exploit.
Biography
A talented brother in Gu Yue Village
Fang Zheng grows up comparing himself with a twin whom relatives and clansmen already treat as a future genius. He enters Fang Yuan's room before the awakening ceremony out of concern, yet habitually lowers his head and experiences even their shared face as a reminder that other people call him only “Fang Yuan's little brother.” His envy is therefore mixed with admiration and a genuine wish for his brother's acknowledgment. (Chapters 2–3)
The awakening ceremony overturns that hierarchy. Fang Yuan receives C-grade aptitude, while Fang Zheng opens an A-grade aperture and becomes the clan's most promising youth. Clan leader Gu Yue Bo begins cultivating him as a prospective successor, offering better Gu and setting advancement targets. Fang Zheng accepts the patronage gratefully; because his new standing is measured against Fang Yuan, every resource also deepens his need to prove that the clan's revised judgment is correct. Fang Zheng advances quickly and confronts his brother during the academy and wolf-tide period. He interprets Fang Yuan's extortion, secrecy, and refusal of family feeling as moral failures that talent should defeat, but direct encounters repeatedly expose his lack of experience. By Qing Mao Mountain's destruction, the clan future prepared for him has disappeared. Lord Sky Crane's intervention preserves Fang Zheng, but survival transfers him from one institution's expectations into another's plan. (Chapters 80–81, 176–199, and 211)
Immortal Crane Sect's weapon against Fang Yuan
Immortal Crane Sect trains Fang Zheng under Lord Sky Crane and directs his hatred toward recovering Hu Immortal blessed land. Crane enslavement suits a disciple expected to command large groups, and the sect combines ordinary cultivation resources with guts Gu from Dang Hun Mountain to accelerate both his rank and his soul. Fang Zheng comes to regard defeating Fang Yuan as proof that the brother who ruined their clan can be judged by a righteous organization. (Chapters 341–420 and 650–656)
That campaign also reveals how readily the sect spends him. Fang Zheng's shared blood with Fang Yuan permits tracking methods unavailable to unrelated immortals, so he is made into a living connection rather than treated only as a disciple. He accepts the danger because vengeance supplies purpose, but the pursuit places his body and soul inside conflicts he cannot control. Lord Sky Crane's instruction contains genuine care at moments, yet it never removes the larger plan governing their relationship. (Chapters 650 and 668–699)
The blood-kin method ends in backlash and collapse instead of the decisive victory Fang Zheng expects. His long injury strips away the certainty that righteous affiliation guarantees righteous treatment. When he awakens, he has neither the Gu Yue clan's protected status nor an uncomplicated place inside Immortal Crane Sect. The experience begins a slower change: being used is not unique to demonic enemies, and a person who refuses to understand their assigned value can be discarded without even influencing the result. Captivity, war, and immortal ascension
Fang Zheng is eventually drawn into Lang Ya blessed land and stranded among hairy men who distrust a human cultivator. The black-haired land spirit's wars turn the three continents into a selection ground for future hairy man immortals, and Fang Zheng survives inside a society where his old clan prestige means nothing. Isolation forces him to judge immediate motives and exchanges rather than rely on the labels of righteous human and hostile variant human. (Chapters 1037–1194 and 1547–1555)
War makes that lesson practical. Fang Zheng uses people and is used in return, endures abandonment and betrayal, and learns that even becoming a pawn demonstrates a value that may keep him alive. A forbidden technique saves him during desperate fighting but cracks his aperture and lowers his A-grade aptitude to B grade. He ceases to treat innate talent as the essence of his worth; the wounds become proof of what he survived and chose. (Chapters 1547–1555 and 1646)
After Feng Jiu Ge saves him and Central Continent regains control of his future, Heavenly Court repairs enough of the aperture to restore A-grade aptitude while deliberately retaining useful cracks for ascension. Fang Zheng adopts blood path and balances heaven, earth, and human qi beneath a blood path tribulation. The resulting rank-six immortal is not merely the academy prodigy grown stronger: his foundation now includes captivity, warfare, and an acceptance that institutions and individuals bargain through usefulness. Lord of Demon Judgment Board
Heavenly Court places Fang Zheng inside Demon Judgment Board, where blood path cultivation and his connection to Fang Yuan can be developed together. He becomes the rank-eight house's lord and trains while the court prepares for the fate war. The appointment gives him genuine command, but it also formalizes the reason every organization has preserved him: his blood can help locate and oppose the brother who has become their greatest enemy. As board lord, Fang Zheng coordinates experienced Gu Immortals rather than serving only as a tracked subject. He advances to rank seven, carries allies through black heaven, and leads Demon Judgment Board as a vanguard in later Heavenly Court operations. The house supplies rank-eight protection and methods without changing his personal cultivation to rank eight, so his effectiveness depends on cooperation, immortal essence, and preserving the formation under attack. Fang Zheng's latest confrontations no longer reproduce the boy who lowered his head before Fang Yuan. He can lock onto his brother from within Demon Judgment Board and act for Heavenly Court with an identity built through his own ordeals. Yet the independence remains incomplete: the court values him partly because Fang Yuan exists, and his most important duty still returns him to the relationship that first shaped his insecurity, ambition, anger, and survival. Abilities and cultivation
Blood path cultivation
Fang Zheng becomes a blood path Gu Immortal during an ascension deliberately supported by Heavenly Court. Blood qi forms the calamity around him, and his dense human qi reflects the experience accumulated before the breakthrough. Blood path also makes his kinship with Fang Yuan operational: methods can use their shared blood to sense or pursue the other twin. That connection is valuable but dangerous, because countermeasures and strain can rebound onto Fang Zheng. (Chapters 668–699 and 1646)
Crane enslavement
Immortal Crane Sect trains Fang Zheng to control flying cranes in large formations. The discipline requires a strengthened soul, multitasking, and command precise enough to coordinate many beasts rather than simply releasing them toward an enemy. Guts Gu helps his soul grow rapidly, but the sect's own assessments place his attainment near, not beyond, the formal master threshold. His later blood path focus means the story does not confirm a higher enslavement attainment. (Chapters 341, 656, and 668)
Demon Judgment Board
As its lord, Fang Zheng can operate Demon Judgment Board's tracking, movement, defense, and blood path judgment methods. The house lets him fight in circumstances beyond a rank-seven body and shelter other Heavenly Court members. These are equipment-derived capabilities: damage to the house, insufficient essence, hostile formations, or loss of supporting controllers can limit them, and its rank-eight aura does not establish Fang Zheng himself as a rank-eight immortal. Endurance and institutional command
Fang Zheng's most developed non-Gu capability is adaptation to being used. Life in Lang Ya blessed land teaches him to recognize what another party wants from him, preserve his value, and make reciprocal use of temporary allies. By the time he controls Demon Judgment Board, he can accept strategic instruction from Qin Ding Ling and coordinate veteran immortals without mistaking borrowed authority for personal invulnerability. Lord Sky Crane preserves, teaches, and manipulates Fang Zheng after Qing Mao Mountain. He provides a route to power and sometimes displays concern, yet also shapes his disciple for the sect's claim on Hu Immortal blessed land. The relationship teaches Fang Zheng that affection and exploitation can coexist, a lesson that later helps him survive institutions without expecting them to be selfless. Qin Ding Ling and Heavenly Court
Qin Ding Ling treats Fang Zheng as a battlefield asset while entrusting him with real responsibility. Heavenly Court repairs his aptitude, supports immortal ascension, and gives him Demon Judgment Board, then depends on his blood path and judgment in operations against Fang Yuan.
