Zhuque Zi

Zhuque Zi is the reigning titled Suzaku and the planet's foremost public cultivator before the succession crisis. His attempt to control both the Cultivation Planet Crystal and the next generation turns defense of Suzaku into a destructive struggle for survival, succession, and a new body. Biography

Ruler during the Forsaken war

Liu Mei identifies Zhuque Zi as her master and Suzaku's number-one cultivator. During the war against the Forsaken Immortal Clan, he issues orders through cloud-like tokens and personally fights for years. His office gives him the inherited techniques and symbols of the titled Suzaku, but it also leaves him approaching the end of his lifespan while responsible for a planet under attack. That combination of authority and mortality shapes every later decision. (Chapters 386 and 406–417)

Zhuque Zi demands Du Tian's one-billion-soul flag under an ancient agreement, describing the seizure as a ten-thousand-year loan. Du Tian refuses, and Zhuque Zi answers with the Holy Suzaku Flame, a giant red hand, and the Suzaku Sword. The confrontation shows his overwhelming advantage over ordinary late-stage cultivators, but Situ Nan's returning aura frightens him into retreat. Zhuque Zi's title makes him dominant within the existing hierarchy, not invulnerable to someone whose cultivation has moved beyond it. (Chapters 422–426)

The succession crisis

Yunque Zi, revealed as Zhuque Zi's senior within the older Suzaku lineage, attacks him and contests control of the planet. Zhuque Zi is already fused with the Cultivation Planet Heart and can damage the crystal on which Suzaku's cultivation environment depends. He opens the Suzaku Tomb to candidates and turns the succession into a forced contest for the crystal, using the threat of planetary destruction to prevent enemies from simply killing him. The strategy protects his leverage, but each collapse also kills cultivators and destabilizes the world he claims to defend. (Chapters 429–453)

As the crystal breaks down, Zhuque Zi becomes increasingly manic. The crisis is not only about choosing a successor. He has planted a copper doll and secret spell in Qian Feng, cultivating the young man as a vessel that can consume domains and eventually supply Zhuque Zi with a replacement body. When ordinary control fails, Zhuque Zi activates the doll through Qian Feng's life force and forms a temporary younger avatar. The method has only a small chance of success, consumes the prepared vessel, and still cannot permanently escape his approaching death. (Chapters 453–464)

Defeat and death

Zhuque Zi fuses his temporary avatar with the planet crystal and battles Yunque Zi inside red fog. Tuo Sen's intervention shatters the balance and heavily injures both rivals. An Alliance messenger then arrives, declares Zhuque Zi's allotted lifespan exhausted, and orders the old ruler to die rather than prolong the catastrophe. Stripped of leverage, Zhuque Zi asks only that the clan's position be settled, sits down, and dies. The crystal is subsequently removed and repaired, and Zhou Wutai becomes the next titled Suzaku. (Chapters 464–468)

Later comparisons identify Zhuque Zi's old realm as late Ascendant. His death therefore closes the rule of a very powerful but bounded cultivator: one whose title, planet-heart fusion, and inherited artifacts let him threaten an entire world, yet could neither defeat higher-realm outsiders nor solve the natural limit of his own lifespan. Appearance and personality

Zhuque Zi appears as an ancient man in a fiery-red robe, surrounded by an oppressive aura appropriate to Suzaku's ruler. He is proud, commanding, and willing to invoke ancient obligations as law. Under the pressure of age and rebellion, those traits become manipulative and cruel: he endangers the planet, grooms Qian Feng as a body, and laughs through the crystal's collapse. His final request for the clan's future shows that institutional duty has not vanished, but it comes only after his survival plan has failed. (Chapters 422–426 and 453–467)

Abilities and cultivation

Late Ascendant power

At late Ascendant, Zhuque Zi can project enormous hands, cross great distances, suppress most cultivators on Suzaku, and fight the Forsaken clan for years. His cultivation supplies the raw force behind his artifacts and seals, while his cloud tokens transmit orders or manifestations across the country. The limit is comparative: Situ Nan's aura forces retreat, and Tuo Sen's intervention cripples both Zhuque Zi and Yunque Zi. Late Ascendant is supreme locally but remains below the powers that later dominate the narrative. (Chapters 406–426, 466, 494, and 709)

Mysterious Suzaku Seal

The Mysterious Suzaku Seal is inherited by only one titled holder at a time. Its offensive form destroys what it strikes, while its defensive form is described as stronger than a planet-formation array when concentrated on one person. That protection has a severe cost. Zhuque Zi avoids using it casually because activation consumes life and his remaining lifespan is already short. The seal is thus not a permanent invulnerability; it is an office-bound emergency technique whose strongest defense accelerates the very death he is trying to evade. (Chapters 422–423)

Holy flame and Suzaku armaments

Zhuque Zi releases the Holy Suzaku Flame through a red feather and wields the Suzaku Sword in his confrontation with Du Tian. The flame carries the authority and destructive character of the Suzaku inheritance, while the sword gives that force a focused attacking form. A gourd accompanies the same arsenal. These tools let him pressure the one-billion-soul flag and its fused souls, but they do not secure the treasure once stronger opposition approaches. Their demonstrated effectiveness therefore lies below the Mysterious Seal's most costly protection and below Situ Nan's superior cultivation. (Chapters 422–426)

Planet-heart fusion and copper-doll rebirth

Fusion with the Cultivation Planet Heart allows Zhuque Zi to sense, manipulate, and progressively collapse the Cultivation Planet Crystal. It functions as strategic leverage because destroying him risks destroying the planet's cultivation foundation. His copper-doll spell pursues a different goal: a prepared host consumes domains, then the doll uses the host's life to form a younger avatar for Zhuque Zi. The spell is temporary and has roughly a ten-percent success rate. Qian Feng's protective jade prevents a clean takeover, and outside intervention breaks the final fusion, exposing both the ethical and mechanical fragility of the plan. (Chapters 430–468)
