Mu Nan
Mu Nan is one of two early Core Formation brothers overseeing the Fighting Evil Sect's Wu Ding Mountain branch. Ordered to stop Wang Lin despite seeing that their own head elder is fleeing him, Mu Nan and Mu Bei choose survival, guide Wang to the sect headquarters, and ultimately accept him as the new sect head. (Chapters 150–155)
Biography
The order at Wu Ding Mountain
Mu Nan and his brother Mu Bei emerge when the fleeing Qian Kun orders their entire branch to stop Wang in exchange for spirit stones. The brothers see the bodies of nine headquarters elders trailing their supposed target and immediately understand that the command is suicidal. Mu Bei pulls Mu Nan into offering a respectful greeting, and Wang passes without attacking them. (Chapter 150)
After Qian Kun dies, Wang returns and questions the brothers about the Fighting Evil Sect's strength. Mu Nan truthfully reports that no Nascent Soul cultivator is nearby and, under pressure, agrees to lead Wang to headquarters. He initially hopes that the kill order hanging over Wang will attract someone capable of saving them, but abandons that hope after Wang subdues Shang Guanmo and slaughters pursuing cultivators. (Chapters 151–153)
Change of allegiance
Mu Nan and Mu Bei decide that the Fighting Evil Sect cannot survive against Wang and that following the stronger party is their only path to life. Fighting as a pair, they hold off a Core Formation opponent until Shang Guanmo lands a killing ambush. By the time the group reaches headquarters, their fear has become genuine respect. After Wang kills sect head Jie Donglei, the brothers are the first to kneel and congratulate him as the new sect head. (Chapters 153–155)
Appearance and personality
Mu Nan's physical appearance is not described in detail. He is frightened and opportunistic but not foolish: he recognizes a lethal mismatch, answers Wang's questions, and changes allegiance once the old sect's defeat is certain. Mu Bei is generally the quicker and more composed brother, sometimes pulling Mu Nan away from a dangerous reaction. (Chapters 150–155)
Abilities and cultivation
Early Core Formation cultivation
Mu Nan and Mu Bei are both early Core Formation elders capable of sustained flight and ordinary sect combat. They are substantially weaker than their mid-stage Core Formation superiors and unable to challenge Wang. The supplied scenes do not name an individual spell belonging specifically to Mu Nan. (Chapters 150–153)
Paired combat
The brothers are accustomed to fighting together. Against another Core Formation cultivator, their coordination lets them hold out despite being at a disadvantage until Shang Guanmo intervenes. The narrative does not describe the formation, sequence, or mechanics of their teamwork, so it supports a practiced paired style rather than a named sealing art. (Chapter 153)
Relationships
- Li Muwan: Li Muwan travels with Wang during Mu Nan's forced service, but she and Mu Nan have no substantive direct relationship. (Chapters 150–155)
- Mu Bei: Mu Bei is Mu Nan's brother, fellow branch elder, and regular combat partner. The two make their survival decisions and change allegiance together. (Chapters 150–155)
