Pressure on the Origin Sect
Lu Yingjie comes to the Origin Sect with two elders from the Celestial Music Sect, which frequently stands first among rank-six sects. He taunts Lu Yanfei over her sect's imminent dissolution and claims to have spent origin crystals so that she will be assigned to him afterward. Rumors surrounding him are similarly predatory: he is said to cultivate through numerous cultivation furnaces, none of whom escape him. His confidence is reinforced by his blood relationship to an Everlasting Sect elder at peak Nirvana Shatterer. (Chapter 1239)
When Zhao Long tests the gathered cultivators with a voice that pressures their origin souls, Lu Yingjie remains composed and accepts the challenge aimed at the absent “Lu Zihao.” He does not intervene when Zhao Long injures Lu Yanfei, offering only an apologetic look as he leaves.
