Lu Yanfei

Lu Yanfei is the Origin Sect's strongest surviving elder and later leader. After refusing to become a cultivation furnace for a rival sect's heir, she recognizes the hidden Wang Lin, invents the “Lu Zihao” identity that shelters him, and holds the weakened sect together until he returns to secure its future. (Chapters 1139–1509)

Biography

A sect without its teacher

Lu Yanfei enters the story as the Origin Sect's only female elder, its leading peak Nirvana Scryer, and the disciple most deeply affected by the old sect master's death. The Purple Dao junior Rudy demands that she become his cultivation furnace and threatens war if she refuses. Her senior brothers expect her sacrifice to buy peace; Lu concludes that surrender would not save the sect and resolves to die fighting instead. (Chapters 1139–1143)

She unknowingly confides in Wang Lin while he is living among newly recruited “mortals.” He listens as she remembers the teacher who raised her from thirteen, refined a Heaven Deceiving Pill for her Ascendant breakthrough, and captured her six-eyed red fox life spirit. When Rudy and Song Wude arrive, Wang kills them. Lu identifies the white-haired rescuer from limited clues and gives him a cover identity: Lu Zihao, a forgotten ancestor of her own family and uncle-master of the Origin Sect. The lie lets him remain without exposing the enemy from whom he may be hiding. (Chapters 1141–1146)

One hundred years of guardianship

Wang eventually leaves but promises to return for the Everlasting Sect competition. Lu Yanfei leads the Origin Sect through a century of political pressure and grows its disciples while preserving his identity. Li Qianmei's presence offers outside protection, yet Lu's testimony and confidence keep the sect's claim alive before the main sect's suspicious elders. (Chapters 1157–1249)

At the competition she faces Lu Yuncong with the sect's rank and continued existence at stake. Even after waiting until the last possible moment, she enters the arena rather than abandon duty. Wang arrives on thunder just as the battle begins. Her tears release a century of grievance, and he apologizes for being late before taking her place, punishing those who injured her and making the Origin Sect first among the competing ranks. (Chapters 1250–1254)

Moving forward

The Everlasting Sect grants the Origin Sect a new place in the rank-seven region. Lu Yanfei organizes the transfer and accepts that Wang cannot remain with a small sect indefinitely. Later threats still test the sect, but she calmly refuses to regret sheltering him: without Lu Zihao, the present Origin Sect would not exist. (Chapters 1260–1269 and 1509)

Ancient Star System and the Cave World's End

Lu Yanfei appears in the narrative during This Battle; the cited passage does not support a broader sequence of actions. (Chapter 1509)

Appearance and personality

Lu Yanfei is the Origin Sect's foremost beauty and strongly favors red: her pavilion, forest, and clothing all reflect it. She wears her hair loose and often appears pale from grief or injury. Gentle speech conceals firm resolve, while exceptional social intelligence lets her infer Wang Lin's identity and supply exactly the protection he needs without demanding confession. (Chapters 1140–1146 and 1250–1254)

Abilities and cultivation

Peak Nirvana Scryer

Lu Yanfei is peak Nirvana Scryer during Wang Lin's stay, stronger than her three senior brothers but still below Lu Yuncong's later Nirvana Cleanser cultivation and far below main-sect elders. Her origin energy can form a large vortex for the competition. Wang's approaching pressure wrests that vortex from her control, illustrating the realm gap rather than a flaw in her basic technique. (Chapters 1140 and 1250–1253)

Six-eyed red fox life spirit

Her teacher spent three years helping capture a six-eyed red fox as Lu Yanfei's life beast spirit. A life spirit supports the cultivator through a bound spiritual relationship rather than acting as an ordinary pet. The corpus does not demonstrate a named attack from it, so its exact combat effects remain unspecified. (Chapter 1141)

Sect leadership and concealment

Lu's strongest recurring capability is judgment under political pressure. She evaluates that becoming Rudy's furnace will not secure peace, reconstructs Wang's hidden identity from sparse evidence, destroys the old portrait, and presents a consistent ancestral cover story for a century. The method depends on discretion and the sect's cooperation; it cannot protect Wang against someone able to see through his cultivation directly. (Chapters 1141–1169 and 1249–1254)

Defensive resolve

As leader she can mobilize disciples, transfer the whole sect through formations, and keep order under Nirvana Shatterer threats. These are collective measures rather than personal offensive spells. Her willingness to enter a losing duel against Lu Yuncong preserves the sect's formal standing long enough for Wang to arrive, showing how institutional endurance can matter as much as winning an exchange. (Chapters 1250–1269)

Relationships

  • Wang Lin: She gives him the Lu Zihao identity and safeguards his secrecy; he protects the Origin Sect and returns after a century to fulfill his promise. (Chapters 1141–1169 and 1250–1269)
  • Li Qianmei: Li Qianmei supports the Origin Sect during Wang's absence and is prepared to take its people in if disbandment occurs. (Chapters 1160–1165 and 1249–1253)
  • Lu Yuncong: They represent rival rank-five sects in the decisive match. He insists that defeating her before Wang arrives would be unfair and warns her before fighting. (Chapters 1249–1253)

Items

  • Lu Yanfei carries the purple message jade containing Rudy's coercive demand and destroys the old Lu Zihao portrait after using its history to construct Wang's identity. (Chapters 1140–1146)
