Li Qianmei
Li Qianmei is a blue-haired prodigy of the Heaven Breaking Sect whose search for answers about dao brings her to Wang Lin. Her quiet affection develops into extraordinary self-sacrifice, while later revelations connect her to Dao Master Blue Dream and the Blue Silk Clan.
Biography
Three questions
An orphan raised by the Heaven Breaking Sect's sect master, Li Qianmei advances with legendary speed and becomes the sect's youngest Nirvana Shatterer. Despite her status, she travels without arrogance, asking accomplished cultivators three versions of the same question about heaven and dao. Wang Lin, then using the name Lu Zihao, is the first person whose answers truly satisfy her. Their night of debate ends with his incomplete answer that dao is a thought and her promise to wait for the rest. (Chapters 1160–1165)
Li Qianmei accompanies him toward Peng Lai, plays her flute for him, and gradually becomes attached to the guarded man behind the alias. She recognizes both his ruthless decisiveness and the loneliness that separates him from others. Wang Lin appreciates her intelligence and serenity, but his grief for Li Muwan leaves him unwilling to accept a new bond. (Chapters 1165–1177)
Her questions frame their relationship long after the journey ends. The heavens as a circle, the dao as thought, and the possibility of escaping layered cages recur in Wang Lin's later comprehension. Even on the Immortal Astral Continent he explicitly returns to her questions while developing his Dream Dao and understanding the urge of living beings to resist confinement. Leaving home for Wang Lin
When Daoist Water prepares to kill Wang Lin, Li Qianmei's teacher confines her for her safety. She understands the danger and chooses to leave anyway, even when warned that crossing the formation will end her place in the sect. After thanking and bowing to the teacher who raised her as a father, she gives up her home and flies toward Wang Lin. (Chapters 1269–1270)
Wang Lin is transformed into a stone statue during the ensuing calamity. Li Qianmei remains beside it for ten years, repeatedly covering it with her blood so that it can recover. As her vitality fails, she uses essence blood and then the dao blood of her origin soul. In the final months she leaves her life-soul jade and her nine-sword formation around him, then departs for the Demon Sect in search of the soul blood that might finish saving him. The vigil is deliberately private. She receives no promise that Wang Lin will wake or return her feelings, and the repeated blood loss makes her beauty and cultivation wither. Her life-soul jade lets the protected statue share her remaining condition, while the nine swords keep watch after she is no longer able to remain. Wang Lin learns the scale of what she did only after awakening, turning the decade into a debt he cannot dismiss as a political alliance between sects. (Chapters 1284–1285 and 1676–1678)
Blue Silk Clan
Li Qianmei is later revealed as the daughter of Dao Master Blue Dream. After she is gravely injured, Wang Lin crosses into the Ancient Star System and brings her to Mount Blue so her father can save her. Blue Dream suppresses or removes her memories of Wang Lin; when Wang Lin later climbs the mountain to see whether she has awakened, she does not recognize him. Her memories gradually return despite that intervention. (Chapters 1361–1378)
Blue Dream's intervention never fully takes. Li Qianmei struggles when Wang Lin's voice crosses the Ancient Star System, defends his potential against her father's earlier judgment, and silently asks Blue Dream to help him during later danger. Blue Dream eventually regrets erasing the memories, while Li Qianmei's recognition returns from within rather than through Wang Lin forcing it upon her. (Chapters 1361, 1370, 1410–1415)
Reunion
Li Qianmei and her father eventually visit Wang Lin after the war. By then she remembers their history and has become visibly thinner from what she endured. Wang Lin acknowledges that he cannot forget the woman who sustained his statue for ten years, while Blue Dream openly proposes a marriage alliance. Li Qianmei's feelings remain clear, but the narrative does not reduce her choices to a reward Wang Lin must accept. (Chapters 1676–1678)
Wang Lin later admits in private that he has accepted Li Qianmei, though the presence of Li Muwan's soul still fills him with guilt. When reincarnation offers a path to the Immortal Astral Continent, Li Qianmei chooses to leave her father and wait for Wang Lin across as many lives as necessary. Wang Lin takes her hand and promises to find her; Xuan Luo sends her down the protected road with the other cave-world souls. (Chapters 1743–1744 and 1789–1794)
Reincarnation and disappearance
For centuries Wang Lin cannot locate Li Qianmei. His marks remain on other reincarnated companions, but exhaustive divine-sense searches find no trace of hers. He reasons that she may have awakened her memories early, causing the mark to disappear, and may be avoiding him while silently wishing him well. The possibility of an accident remains painful because the text does not let him verify the answer. (Chapters 2002 and 2062–2081)
Near the end, a woman named Dong Mei reacts with unexplained emotion when she hears Wang Lin's name. Another woman who knows Wang Lin's stories wonders privately whether Dong Mei and Li Qianmei are the same reincarnated person. The question is left unstated and unanswered, so Dong Mei is a strong implication rather than a confirmed alias. (Chapter 2084)
Appearance and personality
Li Qianmei is distinguished throughout the Cloud Sea by long blue hair, usually paired with white robes. She has an elegant, tranquil presence and smiles with eyes compared to crescent moons. She can conceal the blue color with a spell, but it remains the clearest sign of her hidden origin. (Chapters 1160 and 1165)
She is contemplative, courteous, and unusually free of the arrogance expected from a rank-nine prodigy. Beneath that calm is uncompromising determination: once she decides that Wang Lin must not face death alone, neither sect law, personal safety, nor the loss of her cultivation foundation can turn her aside. Abilities and cultivation
Li Qianmei combines exceptional second-step cultivation with the Heaven Breaking Sect's study of law. Her most consequential feats are not victories over opponents but increasingly costly acts of protection, in which sword formation, life soul, and cultivation foundation are all committed to keeping Wang Lin alive.
Late Nirvana Shatterer cultivation
Li Qianmei reaches late Nirvana Shatterer after roughly thirteen centuries, making her the youngest cultivator in Heaven Breaking Sect history to reach that realm. The speed establishes both unusual aptitude and sustained discipline; it does not place her beyond the second step or make her equal to Daoist Water and the later third-step powers around Wang Lin. Her realm gives her the origin-soul strength and longevity needed to fight fierce beasts, travel the Cloud Sea, and maintain a ten-year vigil, but that reserve can still be exhausted. Heaven Breaking Dao and law comprehension
The sect's Heaven Breaking Dao is grounded in questioning the apparent laws and boundaries that confine cultivators. Li Qianmei's three questions about the heavens, the dao, and escape from layered cages express this cultivation as inquiry rather than a single attack. She can discuss law with senior cultivators and recognize depth in Wang Lin's answers, yet the corpus does not define a complete combat sequence called “Heaven Breaking Dao.” Her strongest demonstrated mastery is conceptual: she uses the sect's tradition to test answers and refine her own understanding. Nine-sword formation
Nine flying swords form Li Qianmei's strongest recorded battle formation. The formation has killed numerous fierce beasts on the Demon Sect battlefield and can establish a perimeter around a fixed target. After her vigil leaves her too weak to remain, she places all nine around Wang Lin's stone body as a final autonomous defense. Its demonstrated uses are killing and guardianship; the exact formation geometry and duration without her presence are not explained. (Chapter 1285)
Life soul, dao blood, and sacrificial limits
Li Qianmei stores her life soul in a jade and leaves it on Wang Lin's statue, where it can sustain protection for only about a month in her depleted condition. For ten years she spends ordinary essence and heart blood; when those are no longer enough, she refines origin-soul dao blood—the understanding of dao fused into her origin soul and therefore her cultivation foundation—into sustaining aura. The process consumes what she has built rather than functioning as ordinary healing. She finally seeks separately stored Demon Sect soul blood because neither her life-soul jade nor remaining foundation can cover the last three months. (Chapters 1284–1285)
Her jade flute is a lesser but distinctive skill: its tranquil music calms listeners and creates emotional intimacy without coercing them. (Chapters 1164–1165)
