Lou Chen

Lou Chen, rendered Luo Chen in later chapters, is an ancient god who was once at the peak of eight stars before tens of thousands of years of assimilation with a Moongazer Serpent reduced him to child form and five stars. His gift of two ancient-god stars completes Wang Lin's adulthood, and after his separation from the Moongazer he receives purified royal blood and becomes the Ancient Dao Emperor. (Chapters 941–944 and 2035–2044)

Biography

A proud ancient god inside the Moongazer

Lou Chen was once a peak eight-star ancient god, but assimilation with a Moongazer Serpent traps him for tens of thousands of years while the creature drains most of his power and forces him back into child form. By the time he emerges during the Alliance conflict, only five stars remain. He has already spent one star refining the dead Ji Xiantian into a corpse puppet. Meeting Wang Lin gives him his first worthy clan opponent in ages. Their physical exchange tests royal ancient-god spells against Lou Chen's seasoned body, star-powered fists, bone spikes, and beast spirit. Rather than resent Wang's resistance, Lou Chen grows excited and declares him qualified to become an ancient god. (Chapters 941–942 and 944)

Shattered stars and an adulthood gift

The Moongazer's agony passes directly into Lou Chen because of their assimilation. When seven-colored gas begins dragging the creature away, he attacks with increasing desperation and shatters his own stars for bursts of power, even though every star spent diminishes him. He cannot reverse the fate that has bound him to the creature. Before he is pulled away, he sends his last two available ancient-god stars to Wang as an adulthood gift. Their accumulated power transforms Wang into a five-star royal ancient god. The gesture is not merely assistance in a battle: Lou Chen chooses to pass on what remains of his strength to a clan member he has judged worthy. (Chapters 942–944)

Separation, royal blood, and the Ancient Dao throne

Lord Xuan later brings Lou Chen to the Immortal Astral Continent and separates him from the Moongazer. Living as a burly member of Ancient Dao, Lou Chen follows the trace of Ye Mo's royal blood in his body and stays with Ye Mo's diminished descendants. He does not approach Wang during the imperial-city conflict because the immense change in Wang's status makes their old equality feel impossibly distant. When they finally meet, Wang asks him to guard Ye Mo's descendants and repays the ancient-god stars by placing soul blood into Lou Chen's body. The gift purifies his royal bloodline until he is qualified to become emperor. Xuan Luo selects him as the royal candidate, and by Chapter 2044 Lou Chen has become the new Ancient Dao Emperor, with Ye Wei temporarily handling affairs while he learns the position. (Chapters 2035, 2042, and 2044)

Appearance and personality

Assimilation and lost power force Lou Chen from his former peak eight-star state back into an ancient god's child form. In combat, his five stars rotate on his forehead and can move into his fists, while fierce bone spikes erupt from his arms and body. After separation on the Immortal Astral Continent, he appears as a burly man. Pride defines him in both forms: he refuses to accept degradation quietly, admires strength without jealousy, and gives away irreplaceable stars once Wang earns his recognition. His later humility before Wang comes from awareness of their changed circumstances, not the loss of that inner resolve. (Chapters 941–944 and 2035)

Abilities and cultivation

  • Former peak eight-star foundation: Lou Chen's original realm is the peak of eight-star ancient-god cultivation. The Moongazer absorbs most of that strength, leaving him at five stars when he meets Wang, but his combat knowledge and bodily refinement remain those of an ancient expert. (Chapters 941–944)
  • Ancient-god body and star fists: Lou Chen concentrates the five forehead stars into his fist, where they rotate into a vortex with both crushing force and suction that pulls an opponent toward the blow. His ordinary punches already create void-shaking shockwaves; star reinforcement makes them far more dangerous. (Chapters 941–943)
  • Bone spikes: Numerous spikes grow from his arms and body and can be launched like arrows under ancient-god power. Wang's royal God Slaying Seal can break many of them, showing both their destructive use and the limits of Lou Chen's reduced body. (Chapters 941–942)
  • Ancient God Beast Spirit: Like other adult ancient gods, Lou Chen has refined a personal beast spirit. His takes the form of a giant black elephant whose tusks, stomping force, and savage flames turn it into an independent extension of his physical offense. (Chapter 942)
  • Shattered Star: Lou Chen can collapse one of his own ancient-god stars to release a violent reserve of power and fold that eruption into an attack. The result is vastly stronger than an ordinary blow, but the cost is permanent loss of a star and therefore of his underlying cultivation. (Chapter 943)
  • Corpse refinement: Lou Chen spends an ancient-god star to refine Ji Xiantian's dead Nirvana Shatterer body into a puppet that functions without living origin energy. The expenditure illustrates that his stars can serve as both power reservoirs and the core of complex ancient-god refinement. (Chapters 938–941)
  • Purified royal bloodline: Wang's soul blood purifies the trace inherited through Ye Mo until Lou Chen emits pressure comparable to the previous Ancient Dao Emperor. This is a bloodline qualification for imperial authority, not a restoration of his former eight-star cultivation. (Chapter 2035)

Relationships

  • Wang Lin: Lou Chen tests Wang in combat, recognizes him as a true clan member, and gives him the stars needed for ancient-god adulthood. Much later, Wang repays that kindness with royal soul blood and entrusts Ye Mo's descendants to his protection. (Chapters 941–944 and 2035)
  • The Moongazer Serpent: Assimilation imprisons Lou Chen and drains his strength for tens of thousands of years, yet also binds their pain and survival together. Lord Xuan eventually separates them after bringing Lou Chen to the Immortal Astral Continent. (Chapters 941–944 and 2035)
  • Ji Xiantian: Lou Chen sacrifices one ancient-god star to refine Ji's corpse into a powerful puppet inside the Moongazer. (Chapters 938–941)
  • Xuan Luo: Xuan Luo helps separate Lou Chen from the Moongazer and later chooses him as the royal candidate after Wang purifies his bloodline. (Chapters 2035–2044)

Items

Lou Chen is not consistently associated with a separate signature item. His ancient-god stars are parts of his body and cultivation: he can shatter them for power, expend them in refinement, or gift them to another ancient god.
