Zooey
Zooey is a God's Punishment Witch, combatant, and Dream World operative.
Biography
An ancient soldier returns to the field
Zooey survives Taquila by transferring her soul into a God's Punishment body and later leads teams searching the ruined holy city. The carrier preserves her for the war but removes ordinary sensation; recovering relics and joining Neverwinter gives that sacrifice a new military purpose. (Chapters 686, 806–807, and 991)
Combat and memory in Neverwinter's service
She fights in Dawn, clears hostile forces, and enters the Dream World with other ancient witches, where a temporary human form exposes her to experiences the carrier cannot provide. Her later service remains direct and unsentimental, though the corpus shows that Alice's legacy still shapes her judgments. (Chapters 943, 991, 998, 1108, 1114, and 1163)
Appearance and personality
Zooey's primary physical form is a powerful God's Punishment body rather than her original body, and she cannot normally feel through it. In the Dream World she appears as a woman and shows a blunt, sardonic personality that contrasts with her disciplined battlefield leadership. (Chapters 686, 943, 991, and 1114)
Magic and abilities
Zooey's present combat capacity comes from the God's Punishment body: great strength, durability, and resistance to ordinary magic rather than a demonstrated surviving personal spell. It is effective in close combat but sacrifices sensation and does not make her immune to physical destruction. (Chapters 686, 943, 991, and 998)
Relationships
Pasha and Elena are fellow Taquila survivors who share command and field work with Zooey. Her disagreements about Alice preserve the ancient Union's political divisions even while all of them serve the same present war. (Chapters 686, 943, 991, and 1114)

The finalized notable-item inventory assigns Zooey no catalogued signature item.
