Biography

Choosing participation before adulthood

Ring is under fourteen and has not awakened as a witch, but she does not wait passively for her sister's work to define their household. She joins Pearl and Grayrabbit as a fill-in clerk, helping the Witch Union office while gaining practical education. Her curiosity carries into Anna and Lucia's technical work: she volunteers to test the new telephone and later enters Neverwinter's public sports meeting, choosing participation even without a witch ability. (Chapters 575, 583, 702, 741–742, and 1063)
