Biography
Converting protection into control
Heidi's fighters help Wolfheart witches survive Church pursuit, earning loyalty that Sleeping Island cannot instantly replace. She chooses to turn that dependence into political power: assistant witches are demeaned, unwanted recruits are discarded, and Iffy and Softfeathers are sent west as instruments of her plans. When Annie's arrival risks exposing Bloodfang's crimes, Heidi orders a delayed magical murder and walks into Tilly's trap.
