Biography

A coercive gift redirected toward survival

Heidi Morgan ordered Nightfall to implant a delayed Seed of Peaceful Death in Annie, but Nightfall questioned the haste and later surrendered rather than fight to the death for her leader. In Neverwinter she redirected the same family of abilities toward care: by linking her life to badly wounded witches through Symbiosis, she kept Lorgar alive, helped assess Lightning and Leaf, and shared nutrition with patients who could not eat. She later remained part of the community and operated a Sigil of Recording at a public magic-movie showing. (Chapters 589–591, 903–906, 1042, 1105, 1219)

Appearance and personality

No consistent physical description is established in the supplied chapters. Her questions before Annie's attempted murder, refusal to abandon the wounded Heidi, and later willingness to bear patients' pain present her as cautious and loyal but capable of revising whom that loyalty serves. Magic and abilities

Nightfall can implant a Seed of Peaceful Death whose activation time she controls. She can instead plant a Seed of Symbiosis, linking her life to a recipient so that they share pain and suffering, the recipient recovers faster, and half of Nightfall's nutrition passes to them. Relationships

Heidi Morgan commands Nightfall through Bloodfang's hierarchy, but Nightfall's surrender helps break that control. She later says that Neverwinter's help for Iffy obliges her to help in return, and her Symbiosis makes her a direct partner in Lorgar's and Leaf's survival. (Chapters 589–591, 903, 1105)
