Sienna Alsker

Sienna Alsker is a Viperscale Medusa who bargains for her family's survival after Aengus Degaro defeats her father. Beginning as a coerced Naga guide, she becomes one of Aengus's trusted commanders, helps integrate demon and human armies, and remains with his empire even after he returns the pearl that once gave him control over her life. Her unrequited love for him complicates, but does not erase, her military agency or responsibility to her people. (Chapters 95–102, 319–320, and 339–349)

Biography

Naga resistance and submission

Sienna first confronts Aengus while trying to save her badly burned father, Sanka. Her Petrifying Gaze cannot overcome him, and neither pleading nor an offer of personal submission interests him, so she studies his growing retinue and identifies willing service as the leverage he actually values. She offers her own Naga Pearl, which is spiritually connected to her life and death, as security against betrayal. The bargain is made under extreme pressure, but it is also Sienna's calculated choice to preserve her father and reach the rest of their family. (Chapters 95–96)

Once Aengus promises that loyalty can eventually earn freedom, Sienna guides him to the Naga settlement and explains the tyrannical king's forces instead of concealing the danger. She then fights members of her former faction to prove that her submission is operational rather than ceremonial. Earlier synthesis with Hellfire Wolves has strengthened her body and given her Hellfire, letting her defeat another Medusa without losing her recognizable form; Aengus later saves her from stronger Nagas when her improvement is still insufficient. Sienna is introduced as a serpentine woman with blue skin patterned by black, scale-like streaks, deep gold eyes with diagonal pupils, and a purple dress made from beast skin. By the time of her confession, she has matured into a beautiful woman with a commanding physical presence; at court, she wears formal noble attire appropriate to her position.
