Helios

Helios, the Fire Dragon King, was Sigard's father and an S-rank Dragonborne ruler. His pursuit of his son's killer brought him into repeated conflict with Aengus Degaro, whose rapidly increasing power turned Helios from an imperious investigator into a terrified captive. Biography

Helios entered the post-trial crisis as a bereaved king determined to identify whoever had killed Sigard. He sealed the surviving contestants in place, threatened anyone who resisted, and tried to force Aengus to kneel with Dragon Aura, only for the command to fail. Although Helios pushed the demon accusation and continued the inquiry, Aengus's claws triggered a bloodline suppression strong enough to make him shiver, while the available testimony did not prove the charge. The confrontation therefore ended without the vengeance Helios wanted and publicly exposed that his royal status and S-rank pressure could not dominate the suspected killer. (Chapters 182–186)

Something Important to Helios’ Demise

Helios later pursued marriage with Christiana, despite already having many wives, and defended his suitability by emphasizing a dragon's physical strength while conceding that he was weaker in magic. Phoenix elders challenged both his proposal and his failure to protect Sigard. When Aengus arrived, Helios recognized that the former suspect had grown far beyond him and became openly afraid. Aengus bound him with invisible chains, dragged and pinned him, then consumed him with the Void even as Helios begged and invoked the Dragon Emperor's retaliation. His attempt to rely on lineage and authority thus ended in complete erasure rather than rescue. (Chapters 303–307)

Appearance and personality

The corpus emphasizes Helios's imposing Dragonborne presence and royal aura but does not provide a stable, detailed description of his humanoid features. He is proud, coercive, and accustomed to obedience, especially while grieving Sigard; he treats resistance as defiance of a king. That confidence collapses once Aengus clearly surpasses him, revealing a pragmatic fear and willingness to beg when titles and threats no longer protect him. (Chapters 182–186, 303–307)

Skills, laws, and abilities

As an S-rank Fire Dragon King, Helios possesses exceptional Dragonborne physical strength and can exert Dragon Aura as a command-like pressure: his “Kneel” is intended to suppress a target through rank and bloodline authority. The representative use fails completely against Aengus, and Aengus's superior dragon bloodline in turn suppresses Helios. Helios admits that his physical advantages do not make him equally strong in magic; the chapters do not show a named fire attack, transformation sequence, or system panel, so those mechanics remain unspecified. Helios's durability and aura offer no effective answer to Aengus's later spatial restraint and Void. Invisible chains can seize, drag, and pin him before the consuming darkness erases his body, and he demonstrates no escape technique.
