Elyon

Elyon is the True Hero of Light and head of the Cathedral of Gods in the Hero Empire. Blessed by the Goddess of Light, he investigates Aengus Degaro, later fights the expanding emperor, and finally joins the elemental Heroes gathered against him. His holy strength initially poses a lethal threat, but Aengus eventually outgrows Elyon's rank, bypasses his divine verification, and devours him with the other Heroes. Biography

Elyon, True Hero Of Light to Claire Solaris

Elyon intercepts Aengus after sensing a suspicious power and attacks with the Sword of Light at a speed likened to a flash. Aengus survives, and Elyon changes from immediate aggression to investigation when allies insist the stranger be tested rather than condemned. The examination produces an unusually high human result instead of demonic proof, so Elyon accepts that Aengus cannot simply be executed as a demon while warning him about the danger represented by Valen Aurelius. The encounter establishes both Elyon's vigilance and his willingness to defer to evidence. (Chapters 183–188)

Cutting Down Enemies to Real Birthday Present

Elyon later arrives by a magical bird made of light as Hero Empire forces converge around Aengus. At level 170 and Transcendental rank, he is the strongest human Aengus has personally appraised at that point, and his concentrated Light attack is powerful enough that Aengus treats a direct hit as potentially fatal. Elyon's authority helps coordinate the Hero response, but the confrontation ends without him eliminating Aengus, leaving the Cathedral with an adversary whose growth is already making the earlier investigation obsolete. Seeing The Saintess Once Again to Kill

When Aengus returns in disguise, Elyon carries a divine seed intended to expose false bodies or impersonators. Aengus analyzes and copies that mechanism, allowing his disguise to pass Elyon's scan and demonstrating that divine provenance does not make the test impossible to deceive. Once the deception is exposed and open battle begins, Elyon recognizes the changed power gap and retreats rather than sacrifice himself in a fight he can no longer win. That choice preserves him for the later Hero coalition but confirms that his former advantage has reversed. (Chapters 285–289)

Elyon meditates on an approaching calamity and experiences chest pain that he treats with radiant holy light, a warning that strengthens his commitment to collective resistance. He later gathers with the other elemental Heroes under the Moon God's cause and withdraws again when Aengus's Void power makes the battlefield untenable. The coalition's final stand fails in Chapter 345: Aengus devours all seven Heroes and acquires their holy elemental manipulations, ending Elyon's leadership and removing the Cathedral's foremost Light champion. Appearance and personality

Elyon is an adult man in his fifties with white hair and a divine, radiant presence. He carries himself as an institutional leader and speaks from confidence in his blessing, yet his conduct is not uniformly reckless: he can halt an accusation when testing contradicts it, warn a potential enemy about other dangers, and retreat when the tactical balance becomes hopeless. His later devotion to the anti-Aengus coalition shows conviction, while repeated recalculation shows that the conviction does not erase self-preservation. (Chapters 183–188, 235–237, and 285–345)

Skills, laws, and abilities

Elyon's blessing from the Goddess of Light manifests as holy radiance, exceptional speed, and destructive Light power channeled through his sword. His opening movement can resemble a flash of light, and a later concentrated attack is dangerous enough to threaten Aengus's life at that stage. The Sword of Light acts as a combat focus rather than an automatic victory condition: Aengus survives the first clash, and Elyon's Light becomes insufficient once Aengus's physical and conceptual defenses advance. At level 170, Elyon is a Transcendental and initially the highest-level human Aengus has encountered. That recorded level describes the earlier confrontation, not his guaranteed state in every later chapter, and no complete status panel or list of learned skills is supplied. When Aengus devours the seven elemental Heroes, he gains seven SS-grade holy elemental manipulations; Elyon is the Light Hero and is therefore associated with the Light component, but the collective acquisition does not separately document every source skill Elyon possessed. Elyon's divine seed can scan for clones or impersonation and serves as a religious verification tool. Its limitation is analytic counterfeiting: Aengus studies the seed, copies its relevant signature, and passes the scan. Elyon also forms a magical bird of light for travel and uses radiant holy light to relieve the pain accompanying his premonition.
