Astrid
Astrid is Aria's uncle, Drake Silvermoon's father, and one of the senior leaders of the Silvermoon Clan. He helps expose rival-clan misconduct, defends Arcadia during the beast assault, and later accepts Aengus as a powerful son-in-law after being rescued from spiritual collapse. Astrid subsequently serves the Liberation Empire while continuing to act as a cautious elder concerned with Aria's standing and the clan's survival. (Chapters 18–69, 240–297, and 439–450)
Biography
Demonic Movement (2) to Yona’s Vow of Loyalty (2)
Astrid first works beside his brother Ashter and niece Aria during the investigation of demonic movement and suspicious rival clans. He helps push Gideon's auction bidding according to Ashter's plan, watches his son Drake duel Ethan, and accepts Ethan's potential even while deferring any marriage judgment to Aria's father and the elders. During Arcadia's defense he takes command when Ashter needs rest, then approves Yona as Aria's attendant after judging her seriousness and understanding that the role carries responsibility rather than display. (Chapters 18–69)
Silvermoon Family Condition to Emperor Is Kind?
Beelzebub's Devouring Force leaves Astrid with damaged strength, soul, and Law Cores; by the time Aria returns, he lies unconscious and is not expected to last much longer. Aengus applies repeated Sacred Kirin healing, enhanced through Aegis, until Astrid wakes and reunites with his wife Noelle. Experiencing that rescue and watching the city lord submit to Aengus changes Astrid's assessment of the former commoner: he accepts him as Aria's husband and as a ruler capable of protecting the family the clan could not save alone. (Chapters 240–246)
Return to Depart To Phoenix Empire
Astrid later stands with Ashter among the Silvermoon leaders and imperial commanders aboard the Liberation warship, recognizing that Aengus has built an empire while continuing to grow through distant adventures. His family role remains active rather than ceremonial: after Bella is introduced as a second empress, Astrid privately questions Aria about the Demon World journey and whether equal wives threaten her position. Aria's explanation reassures him, and he continues imperial service through later crises, blessings, and the restored Arcadia reunion. (Chapters 293–297, 439, and 448–450)
Appearance and personality
Astrid is an adult Silvermoon noble and clan leader, but the corpus gives no precise hair, eye, clothing, or build description. His presentation is defined by family authority and restrained concern: he is anxious during political operations, protective when Drake is injured, willing to recognize Ethan's talent, and cautious about Aria's unconventional marriage. He can be status-conscious, yet evidence changes his judgment, and his approval of Yona shows that he values resolve and practical responsibility over appearances alone. (Chapters 29, 39–40, 69, and 240–297)
Skills, laws, and abilities
Astrid is an experienced combat leader who can replace Ashter's battlefield command during Arcadia's beast assault and later serve among the commanders of the Liberation Empire. The story does not provide his rank, status panel, Law affinity, weapon, or named attack, so his personal combat mechanics cannot be reconstructed. His severe post-Beelzebub condition establishes a limit: the Devouring Force can damage both his soul and Law Cores beyond ordinary recovery and leave him dependent on high-grade soul healing. (Chapters 62 and 240–243)
After recovery, Astrid retains enough standing to lead the Silvermoon Clan, travel with imperial forces, and receive a personal gift or blessing from Aengus. The nature of that gift is not specified, and no later battle isolates Astrid's contribution from stronger figures around him. His latest demonstrated capability is therefore durable command and clan administration within a vastly stronger empire, not a source-confirmed new rank or cosmic technique. (Chapters 293–297 and 439–450)
Relationships
- Aria: Astrid acts as Aria's uncle and clan elder, advises on noble responsibilities, evaluates Yona's service, worries about Aria's position beside Bella, and ultimately supports the imperial household she builds with Aengus. (Chapters 18–69 and 240–297)
- Drake Silvermoon: Drake is Astrid and Noelle's son. Astrid watches his duel with Ethan confidently, rushes to him after the clash, and later serves in the same imperial faction as Drake. (Chapters 36–40 and 293–297)
- Noelle: Noelle is Astrid's wife. She despairs while his soul remains damaged, embraces him immediately after his healing, and later stands beside him as their family accepts Aengus. (Chapters 240–246)
- Aengus Degaro: Astrid first views Ethan through clan hierarchy and marriage concerns, but Aengus heals him, protects the Silvermoons, and earns his acceptance as son-in-law and emperor. (Chapters 39–40, 240–297, and 439–450)
- Ashter Vestovile: Astrid is Ashter's brother and fellow Silvermoon leader. He follows Ashter's political plans, relieves him during battle, shares his near-fatal injuries, and continues governing beside him after recovery. (Chapters 18–69 and 240–297)
Items
- No named personal weapon or artifact is assigned to Astrid. Aengus later grants him an unspecified gift or wish, but the corpus does not identify its form or effect. (Chapter 439)
