Thanatos

Thanatos is the cloaked God of Death, son of the Primordial Goddess, and an authority over souls and Underworld law. He removes Celine and the dead from Ahriman's reach and later permits the Underworld's spirits to aid the living.

Biography

Collecting souls and opening the Underworld

During the Demon Continent catastrophe, Thanatos watches from above the Temple of the Gods beside his mother and acts when divine rules are broken. He takes Celine and the endangered souls away before Ahriman can consume them, an intervention William initially experiences as kidnapping because he cannot know the larger plan. In the final war, Thanatos silently permits tens of thousands of Undead Spirits to leave the Underworld despite his usual prohibition, allowing them to fight beside their idol. Appearance and personality

Thanatos appears as a cloaked male figure. He is reserved, dutiful toward his mother, and willing to bend his own rules when the world's survival requires it. (Chapters 1075, 1452)
