Primordial Goddess

The Primordial Goddess is Nyx, an ancient Goddess of Darkness and Thanatos's mother. She manipulates William's fall toward Darkness, but also preserves lives and ultimately claims Ahriman for punishment.

Biography

The Goddess who cultivated William's darkness

The Primordial Goddess operates above the ordinary Gods, sending agents and observing William's voyage while admitting that direct victory would bore her. During the Demon Continent crisis she coordinates with Thanatos and seeks to corrupt William's entire soul, though Ella's Bell of Anthanasia preserves a quarter from her influence. Her scheme does not make her simply Ahriman's ally: in the final battle she safely holds Ciel, receives Ahriman's soul from William, and carries her ancient rival away for prolonged punishment. Appearance and personality

Nyx is an otherworldly beauty who appears seated on an obsidian throne; most mortals cannot properly see her face. She is amused, patient, manipulative, protective of Ciel, and terrifying toward enemies. (Chapters 957, 1462)

• Primordial Darkness: She influences corruption and acts at a scale beyond ordinary Gods. Ella's artifact proves her influence can be resisted in part. (Chapter 1100)
