Lily

Lily is a childlike Goddess who operates a stall in the Temple of Reincarnation and becomes one of William's most outspoken divine protectors. Her playful manner coexists with enough authority to threaten other Gods into treating him fairly.

Biography

Protecting William from the divine sidelines

Lily first appears as the Goddess behind a Temple stall and later follows William's struggles from the Celestial Realm. When Aamon prepares another trial, she visits him in advance and threatens to strike him with a candy cane if he makes it unfairly difficult, directly moderating the pressure placed on William. She is eager to descend during other conflicts but accepts David's restraint, and she remains beside William when he releases his wooden staff at the end of his journey. Appearance and personality

Lily appears as a small, youthful girl and is later described with sun-kissed skin. She is giggly, excitable, affectionate, and quick to threaten disproportionate punishment when someone endangers William. (Chapters 3, 293, 331, 619)
