Issei

Issei is the God of Harem, a popular divine patron whose Temple stall attracts men seeking his blessing. He observes and supports William's unusual path, but the corpus provides little direct evidence about his formal powers.

Biography

A divine observer of William's path

Issei is introduced through his busy Temple stall and later appears with his twin lovers while William moves through divine realms. Ian is informed of the training William underwent while comatose because she has already met Issei, establishing him as part of the divine network around William rather than the active agent in the later Familiamancer trial. He eventually stands at the World Gate with Lily and, at the journey's end, judges that the next wielder of William's legacy must possess genuine resolve. (Chapters 4, 300–331, 704–767, 1251, 1473)

Appearance and personality

The sparse selected evidence does not give Issei a stable physical description. He is relaxed, approving, and commonly seen with his twin lovers, matching his role without establishing that every romantic event falls under his control. (Chapters 300–331)

Skills, classes, and divinities

  • Harem divinity: Issei is explicitly worshiped as the Harem God, but no precise blessing, cost, or combat technique is documented in his selected scenes. (Chapter 4)
  • Divine access: He can appear in celestial spaces and at the World Gate. The limits of travel between realms are unknown. (Chapters 300, 1251)

Relationships

  • William: Issei observes William's training and later helps assess the legacy William leaves behind. (Chapters 704, 1473)
  • Lily: Lily is a recurring fellow deity beside Issei at major celestial transitions. (Chapters 331, 1251)

Items

  • No signature item established: The corpus identifies Issei by his divine office and companions rather than a named weapon or artifact.
