Ice Dragon Robes
The Ice Dragon Robes name applies both to Misha's Legendary tailoring plans and to the class-restricted armor sets made from them. The page therefore describes a reproducible item type rather than one unique garment.
History
The Legendary Tailor quest
Misha receives the plans after she and Cain defeat the hidden Ice Dragon in the Icy Caverns. The accompanying Legendary Tailor quest requires materials gathered within the dungeon and instruction from a hidden tailor in town; completing it teaches the plans and grants level 20 Tailoring even without prior tailoring skill. This makes Misha both the recipe holder and the craftsperson responsible for the later sets. (Chapter 13)
Bound robes for three casters
Misha first creates a set for herself and then uses Mythryll's supplied materials to make another. The System adapts the same equipment to its wearer: Misha's manifests as a fitted white-scaled, fur-trimmed cleric coat, while Mythryll's becomes a white, fairy-like ball gown. Mythryll discovers an unlisted increase to cold damage and uses the robes' reduced casting cost to support mana-intensive ice magic. Misha later gives a further set to Lickity, who knowingly equips it despite its permanent binding. Her version appears as mostly translucent white silk patterned with dragon scales. (Chapters 17, 19, and 23)
Abilities and properties
- Only Clerics and Mages can use the Legendary armor, and each produced set binds to its wearer when equipped. (Chapters 17 and 23)
- The robes provide additional cold resistance, additional armor, and a 15 percent reduction in casting cost. (Chapter 17)
- Mythryll identifies a hidden bonus to cold damage. The source demonstrates that bonus on her set but does not specify its numerical value or whether every variation displays it openly. (Chapter 19)
- The garment's visual form adapts substantially to its wearer while preserving a white, ice-dragon motif. (Chapters 17 and 23)
