Xuan Lun

Xuan Lun is one of Han Mountain City's unaffiliated Awakened experts and a guest of Puqiang Tribe. His pursuit of an item tied to He Feng draws him into Su Ming's path, and his ruthless local authority ends in a single, public killing.

Biography

Rivalry and power in Han Mountain

Puqiang Tribe rewards Xuan Lun's service with a statue of a God of Berserkers, and ordinary cultivators rank him among the five notable Awakened experts outside the three ruling tribes. He uses that position to pursue He Feng, whose follower he has killed and whose corpse he demands after He Feng attempts the Chains of Han Mountain. His urgency comes from an unnamed item he expects to recover if He Feng dies, but tribal law prevents him from attacking openly. (Chapters 118–120)

Xuan Lun later judges the mysterious Mo Su to be an injured Awakened Berserker and admits he lacks confidence in defeating him completely. That caution comes too late. After Su Ming claims Han Mountain Bell, he sends a green sword around Xuan Lun's neck; Xuan Lun remains standing only long enough for the wound to open before his head falls. His death gives He Feng revenge and demonstrates that Xuan Lun's regional status offers no protection from Su Ming's new power. (Chapters 198–199)

Reputation after death

Visitors to Han Mountain subsequently count Xuan Lun among the city's deceased experts. His earlier assessment of Mo Su circulates as useful intelligence about the new challenger, but Xuan Lun himself has no later personal action or recovery. (Chapter 212)

Appearance and personality

Xuan Lun wears purple and is repeatedly marked by fierce, ruthless looks. He is resentful, possessive, and willing to press for a dead subordinate's body to obtain what he wants, yet he is not heedless: he respects the three tribes' prohibition and recognizes opponents he may not be able to defeat. (Chapters 120, 212)

Abilities and cultivation

Xuan Lun is an Awakened Berserker capable of flight and strong enough to be treated as one of Han Mountain City's leading independent experts. His exact divine ability and stage within Awakening are not demonstrated in the supplied evidence. His inability to confidently defeat an injured Mo Su sets an important limit on his reputation, and Su Ming's sword kills him before he can mount a defense. (Chapters 120, 198, 212)

Relationships

  • He Feng: Xuan Lun kills He Feng's follower and seeks an item connected to him, creating a bitter enmity. He Feng regards Xuan Lun's death as revenge. (Chapters 120, 199)
  • Su Ming: Xuan Lun cautiously evaluates Mo Su but becomes the target of Su Ming's green sword and is killed in public. (Chapters 198, 212)
  • Puqiang Tribe: He serves as its guest and receives a God of Berserkers statue, though the tribe cannot save him. (Chapters 118, 198)

Items

  • God of Berserkers statue: Puqiang Tribe gives Xuan Lun this statue when he joins them. Its individual use is not demonstrated. (Chapter 118)
  • Unidentified item sought from He Feng: This motivates Xuan Lun's intervention, but its nature and final custody are not recorded. (Chapter 120)
