About the novel
Pursuit of the Truth follows Su Ming, an herb gatherer and young doctor in Dark Mountain Tribe who is believed unable to cultivate. A secret Berserker awakening gives him the power he wanted, but sealed memories and manipulated identities make the truth of his childhood increasingly uncertain. Protecting the tribe and recovering what was taken from him become the first stages of a struggle against destinies imposed by beings operating across worlds and aeons.
Freezing Sky, South Morning, Divine Essence, Arid Triad, and Ancient Zang repeatedly recast Su Ming's place in reality. Companions and preserved memories remain his measure of self when names, bodies, and entire histories can be fabricated. The pursuit named by the novel is therefore not only a search for greater cultivation, but an attempt to decide whether truth and fate can coexist with a life shaped by love and loss.
World and cultivation
Berserkers cultivate blood veins, Marks, bones, souls, and higher transformations tied to their people and land. Immortal and other systems follow different stages, while possession, clones, wills, and inherited bodies complicate the identity of advanced cultivators. Sects and tribes preserve partial traditions inside worlds whose histories have been deliberately obscured.
Su Ming's Berserker foundation expands through Ecang, Abyss Builder heritage, multiple selves, and comprehension capable of confronting universe-level wills. Runes, treasures, memories, and the power of aeons can sustain or imprison civilizations. At the highest scale, cultivation becomes authority over truth, destiny, and the continuation of worlds, but that reach cannot automatically restore the people whose absence gave the pursuit its meaning.
