Cang San Nu
Cang San Nu is the strongest of Dark Dawn's three Sovereigns of Dawn, an initial Avacaniya Realm cultivator whose confidence rests on a fragment of Harmonious Morus Alba's wing. His victories over willing-to-die survivors of the previous aeon convince him that he can challenge Su Ming. That misjudgment costs him the fragment, his cultivation, and his life.
Biography
Arid Triad and the dying aeon
Cang San Nu hears that Su Ming can kill Avacaniya Realm opponents but trusts his own record of killing three awakened cultivators and sealing another. Zi Ruo correctly notes that his defeated opponents had already abandoned eternal life and separated their own minds and souls; she refuses to follow him into confrontation. Cang San Nu nevertheless seeks Su Ming, interpreting past victories and his supreme treasure as proof that ordinary differences in strength cannot matter. (Chapters 1307–1315)
Su Ming's single shouted command hurls him seventy thousand feet and makes the gap plain, yet Cang San Nu persists. He summons three preserved mummies and finally releases the wing membrane that has destroyed previous enemies and their souls. The fragment begins breaking Su Ming's End of Wills Sword, but instead recognizes Harmonious Morus Alba's presence on him and submits. With his certainty overturned, Cang San Nu flees. Su Ming catches him, prevents self-destruction, shatters his cultivation, searches his soul, and reduces him to ash. His death dissolves the seal around the Viridian Gods' Expanse Cosmos and confirms the wiser choices of Zi Ruo and Yan Pei. (Chapters 1316–1332)
Appearance and personality
Cang San Nu is an old man with vertical pupils, one yellow and one red. Even at rest he seems capable of altering the world's laws. He is proud, combative, and theatrical, preferring to let victims believe they are winning before his treasure destroys them. His confidence is not simple ignorance—he possesses an extraordinary item—but repeated reliance on it prevents him from judging his own underlying limits.
Abilities and cultivation
Avacaniya Realm and True World will
Cang San Nu is an initial-stage Avacaniya Realm Sovereign who has fused with a True World's will. He can cross Expanse Cosmos barriers, impose powerful seals, and threaten weaker awakened cultivators. Later explanation attributes much of his exceptional standing among peers to the wing fragment; his cultivation of the heart has not advanced beyond the permanent limit facing most initial-stage members of his group. (Chapters 1307–1332)
Preserved mummies
He stores at least three mummies in pearls and releases them through colored fog as combat slaves. A single mummy can threaten some Avacaniya Realm cultivators, making the set a significant prepared arsenal. Su Ming's End of Wills Sword destroys all three quickly, showing that they do not bridge the gap against superior will. (Chapters 1316–1317)
Harmonious Morus Alba wing fragment
The palm-sized membrane can break powerful weapons and crush or erase those who touch it. Cang San Nu acquired it after destroying the Viridian Gods and treats it as an unbeatable supreme treasure. Its decisive limitation is allegiance: when it recognizes a stronger connection to Harmonious Morus Alba in Su Ming, it resists Cang San Nu and becomes his opponent's possession. (Chapters 1317–1320)
