Kyle is a lightning-wielding combatant who first serves the Saharan Empire as the weakest of its Five Pillars and later enters the Overgeared Empire's forces. Recurring role and later consequences

Kyle begins as one of the Saharan Empire's Five Pillars, an authority whose humble manner toward the Red Knights contrasts with his terrifying battlefield reputation. His lightning can paralyze opponents before they can respond, and his speed, dagger work, and enormous natural magic power place him far beyond ordinary great magicians. Yet he is still considered the weakest pillar, and Braham's magic exposes the consequences of Kyle's incomplete training: his mentor abandoned him, leaving great power without enough understanding of formulas, and the encounter costs him an arm while imperial soldiers and knights are devastated.
