Iyarugt

Iyarugt is a former demon and master swordsman whose soul is sealed in the blood-red sword bearing his name. After Grid wins the weapon from Elfin Stone, Iyarugt becomes both a formidable weapon spirit and a difficult combat instructor, eventually developing through Peak Sword's battles and recovering much of the power taken from him by other great demons. Biography

Reidan and the Overgeared Alliance

Iyarugt first appears as Elfin Stone's bloodstone sword, a weapon whose material is presented as stronger than blue orichalcum. Grid wins it after defeating the vampire city ruler, then gradually improves and incorporates it into his fighting repertoire. The sword's Hell Sword technique gives Grid an explosive finishing option, while the demon sealed inside can also be summoned in humanoid form. By the time the weapon reaches legendary status and a high enhancement level, Grid values it as one of his standards for a superior sword rather than as disposable loot.
