Guseha

Guseha is a celebrated singer marking his twentieth anniversary and the player secretly known as Shift, the Skin Maker. His production skill creates restorative skins for people with severe disabilities, wounds, and resulting psychological trauma in return for payment. The exposure of his dual identity brings him into contact with Grid over the Heart of the Frost Queen. (Chapters 1429–1433)

Biography

Role in Apostles, Dragons, and the Overgeared World

Guseha first appears through an anniversary concert held inside Satisfy, illustrating how virtual space supports real-world performance careers. He is already a long-established singer before his game identity becomes relevant, so the concert and Skin Maker work are parallel parts of his public and hidden life rather than one replacing the other. (Chapter 1429)

Peak Sword and Regas discover that Guseha and Shift are the same person. The revelation matters because Shift's skin-production ability has an exceptional real-world-adjacent social effect within Satisfy: it restores people who have lived with disfigurement or wounds and alleviates associated mental suffering. Guseha charges a reasonable price, making the service commercial rather than unconditional charity. (Chapters 1430 and 1432)

The group brings Grid the story of Guseha and the Heart of the Frost Queen. Grid listens and responds positively, creating a potential solution or transaction around the rare material. A later reflection admits that Guseha's identity as Shift should have been considered sooner. The evidence does not extend to a completed long-term alliance or a new class evolution. (Chapters 1431 and 1433)

Appearance and personality

The selected evidence does not provide a reliable physical description beyond establishing Guseha as the real identity behind Shift. His use of the skill is portrayed as relatively responsible: he helps people and charges for valuable work rather than exploiting suffering without restraint. (Chapters 1430 and 1432)

Abilities, classes, and skills

As Skin Maker, Guseha produces skins capable of correcting disabilities and lasting wounds, with corresponding relief for psychological illness. The precise recipe, limits, and combat applications are not isolated in the brief. His concert performance is a professional activity conducted in virtual space, not a supernatural battle ability. (Chapters 1429 and 1432)

Relationships

Grid hears Guseha's circumstances and the Heart of the Frost Queen proposal, then considers it positively. Their bounded relationship is prospective cooperation rather than documented friendship. (Chapters 1431–1433)

Peak Sword is initially flustered by the Shift revelation, while Regas welcomes meeting both identities at once. They serve as the connection through which Guseha's case reaches Grid. (Chapters 1430–1431)

Items

  • Heart of the Frost Queen: A rare object central to the proposal discussed with Grid. The selected scenes do not fully document its custody or final use. (Chapters 1431–1433)
