Barbatos first intervenes through Krucha's sight, prioritizing Grid over easier targets because he judges Grid the greater threat. Yura redirects and suppresses the demonic component of his attacks, but Barbatos adapts by changing a black hand into a physical awl. Grid stops the barrage by killing the subordinate supplying its coordinates and gains part of Barbatos's Vision, establishing that the sniper can be countered by finding and removing his “eyes.” (Chapter 1386)
