Gabriel
Gabriel, the Lily Blooming in Aquarius, is an archangel of Eden whose concern for Uriel repeatedly outweighs her irritation with Eden's bureaucracy.
Biography
Eden's reluctant teaching assistant
Gabriel first appears at Metatron's ordinance session, tapping her heel in frustration while Jophiel lectures against demonic deception. Although she holds a high place among Eden's angels, she dislikes ceremonial duty and would rather act than repeat doctrine. Metatron assigns her to take over Uriel's mission and places Jophiel over her, turning concern for a colleague into institutional work. (Chapters 278–279)
A lily in the 1863rd regression
In the 1863rd world, Gabriel communicates through a white lily while conserving power. She questions Kim Dokja's decisions and helps monitor the corrupted Uriel. Her care becomes clearest when she asks what he intends to do with Uriel; she opposes the danger Uriel poses without reducing her fellow archangel to an enemy that should simply be destroyed. (Chapters 287–299)
Service through the great wars
Gabriel continues appearing in Eden's negotiations and in convocations called by the Bureau. She participates because refusing official summons only produces further pressure, preserving her characteristic mixture of duty and complaint. Her attention remains directed toward other angels caught in the system's wars. (Chapters 306–502)
The last incarnation of Eden
In a later world-line, Jung Heewon seeks Gabriel to ask where Uriel has gone. Gabriel reveals her presence and addresses Jung Heewon as Eden's last incarnation. The meeting places her after the institution's collapse: still proud, still guarding what remains, but no longer able to rely on Eden's old hierarchy. (Chapter 529)
Appearance and personality
Gabriel taps her heel and frowns through Eden's ordinance sessions. In the 1863rd regression she communicates through a white lily hidden in Kim Dokja's coat; the petals droop when her power is exhausted and tremble when she wakes. A later world-line shows her as a woman with long eyelashes who keeps reading while Jung Heewon questions her, preserving pride and reserve even after Eden's destruction. (Chapters 278–299 and 529)
Abilities, attributes, and stories
Archangel status
Gabriel can project a true voice, manifest through a symbolic lily, and act at the level of Eden's senior combatants. The lily can tremble and communicate while her main power is conserved elsewhere. Its vulnerability and dependence on available status limit what she can do through it. (Chapters 278–299)
Guardianship
The corpus describes Gabriel as someone who takes care of other angels. This manifests through monitoring, questioning, and intervention rather than a fully named healing stigma. Her protection does not give her unilateral power over a corrupted archangel or Eden's command structure. (Chapters 299 and 529)
