Ice Cold Staff
The Ice Cold Staff is the hidden divine object of the North Sea Ice Palace. Palace tradition treats its acceptance as proof of a legitimate king, while its metal and stored energy make it more than a ceremonial emblem.
History
The Hidden Staff
The staff is found in the palace's underground complex near the memorial tablets. Claimants believe that the divine object chooses a qualified holder, and it refuses competing hands before moving toward Chun Yeowun. (Chapters 429–431)
Great Bird Energy
Nano determines that the staff contains spiritual energy associated with the Great Bird and that its gold is mixed with meteorite fragments unlike ordinary terrestrial metal. Yeowun absorbs the stored energy after taking the Dragon Turtle Core. (Chapter 433)
Dan Jucheon's Custody
Yeowun does not keep the emptied artifact. He gives it to Dan Jucheon, and the staff later forms golden armor around its holder, preserving its role as a North Sea royal object after its spiritual reserve is removed. (Chapters 433 and 468)
