Nano

Nano is the artificial intelligence of the seventh-generation Nano Machine implanted in Chun Yeowun. It communicates directly through his mind and serves as an analytical, medical, training, and sensory assistant.

Biography

Implantation and first contact

A visitor claiming to be Yeowun's descendant injects a seventh-generation Nano Machine into the mortally wounded prince. The system identifies itself with the serial number 034-4532-5893 and as a product of the future Sky Corporation. Its first intervention is medical: it diagnoses Yeowun's abdominal injury and severe blood loss, then supplies blood and accelerates repair before the wound can kill him. Once integrated with his nervous system, Nano addresses Yeowun as “Master” and communicates through a voice heard directly in his mind. (Chapters 1–2)

The language and concepts of the future initially make its explanations difficult for Yeowun to understand. Nano searches the terminology and cultural knowledge available through its host so it can restate functions in terms meaningful to him. Yeowun quickly realizes that the invisible system must remain secret. Their resulting partnership is private even in crowded rooms: Nano can answer internally, display information in his field of view, and act on commands without revealing a second speaker to those around him. A hidden instructor at the academy

At the academy Nano first proves that it can do more than heal. It scans Jang's movements and transfers the recorded motion into Yeowun's muscle memory, a painful process lasting roughly two hours even with Nano's anesthesia. The result gives Yeowun a precise physical pattern but does not automatically supply the internal energy, judgment, or experience needed to make it effective. That distinction remains central throughout their partnership: Nano can acquire, model, and rehearse information at extraordinary speed, while Yeowun must decide how to use it and cultivate the power behind it. Nano constructs training avatars from scanned opponents and techniques, letting Yeowun practice through simulated battles while his external circumstances make normal instruction dangerous. It analyzes acupuncture, regulates his body so he can absorb energy from the Black Dragon Ball, and helps reconstruct motions or mechanisms that have been fragmented. It also examines mixed poison and the herbs needed to remove it. These functions turn hidden records, brief encounters, and hostile techniques into material Yeowun can study repeatedly, but the simulations still require him to endure training and solve tactical problems himself. Medicine, investigation, and survival

Outside the academy, Nano's medical and forensic roles become as important as training. It can scan living bodies, detect an artificial facial structure, trace residues, and inspect a corpse through a magnetic-resonance-style process conducted while Yeowun moves his palm over the target. It can recognize hypnosis through changes in the eyes and monitor organs from inside Yeowun's own body. When opposing yin and yang energies damage him, Nano continuously repairs the affected organs and buys time, but Yeowun must still discover how to balance the underlying forces. Nano also states limits rather than treating healing as resurrection. When Yeowun faces a fall after suffering severe burns, it warns that repair is useless if impact shatters the body beyond recovery. Its emergency routines can close wounds and sustain damaged organs, but available material, time, and the host's continued physical integrity constrain the process. Yeowun can even order healing to stop, and Nano obeys despite calculating that the decision puts him at critical risk. (Chapters 10 and 275)

Expanded senses and battlefield control

Nano progressively extends Yeowun's perception. It provides night vision, reconstructs three-dimensional movement from recorded markings, intercepts telepathic exchanges, and calculates the paths of mass projectile attacks. These capabilities eventually support a panel-based targeting system through which Yeowun assigns numerous Air Swords to separate opponents. The disastrous power of that technique comes from combining Nano's multi-lock computation with Yeowun's energy and weapons; Nano selects and tracks targets, but does not independently create the swords or supply their force. When Yeowun encounters unfamiliar fighting traditions, Nano analyzes their movement and mechanical distribution rather than dismissing them as non-martial. Its study of boxing, taekwondo, jiu-jitsu, and capoeira lets Yeowun consider how internal energy and force qi could be applied to modern close-combat forms. The function illustrates how Nano bridges eras: it translates physical principles into data that a murim cultivator can test. (Chapter 402)

Future technology and the Time Jet

The arrival of future soldiers and equipment gives Nano compatible systems to interact with. It supports operation of the Gatelinium Nano Suit, including armor deployment, flight, underwater survival, energy absorption, and visual concealment. The suit can nevertheless be cracked by sufficient martial power, and intense electromagnetic or electrical interference can disrupt future nanomachines. Nano's technology is advanced relative to the sixteenth-century setting, not immune to energy, damage, or competing future systems. (Chapters 423–429, 444, and 462–475)

Near the end of the supplied corpus, Nano intercepts communications from Luis's device and alerts Yeowun to an intruder aboard the Time Jet. Appearance and personality

Nano has no independent physical appearance in the supplied chapters; Yeowun experiences it as a voice, alerts, and visual panels integrated with his senses. Its speech is precise, procedural, and oriented toward serving its designated master. It reports diagnoses, risks, and completion states without human ceremony.

Its obedience is literal but not mindless. Nano warns Yeowun when an order is dangerous, proposes scans or procedures suited to a problem, and adjusts vocabulary when future terminology confuses him. It does not display an independent social ambition or make Yeowun's moral and strategic decisions. Even when it performs an emergency process, the goal remains preserving and assisting its recognized master.

Martial arts and abilities

Neural interface and information display

Nano is integrated with Yeowun's central nervous system and communicates without audible speech. It can place panels, targeting marks, reconstructed scenes, and enhanced visual information into his perception while receiving mental or spoken commands. The interface is private unless Yeowun's response gives it away. Nano can search its stored knowledge and adapt an explanation to concepts its host understands, but it cannot confirm traditional internal-energy principles merely from future scientific knowledge; unfamiliar phenomena still require observation and analysis. Motion capture, transfer, and simulation

Nano records physical motion with exact detail, maps it onto Yeowun's body, and can stimulate the necessary muscles to transfer a sequence into muscle memory. Transfer is painful and time-consuming enough to require anesthesia in early use. It does not grant the cultivation, timing, or insight behind the original technique. Nano's simulation space complements the transfer by generating avatars and repeated encounters from collected data, allowing Yeowun to practice choices and execution rather than merely replaying a recording. Its analysis can combine separate bodies of movement. Nano reconstructs missing sequences from marks and placements, compares an opponent's technique with stored patterns, and models how internal energy changes mechanical force. Medical intervention and internal regulation

Nano scans blood loss, wounds, organs, toxins, acupuncture points, facial structures, and nervous responses. Its nanomachines can inject or redistribute blood, accelerate tissue repair, suppress pain, apply anesthesia, and regulate bodily functions during dangerous absorption or cultivation. Healing has physical limits. Nano can keep repairing organs during an energy crisis, but cannot itself resolve an incompatible yin-yang imbalance, restore a host whose body is destroyed beyond repair, or guarantee safety when Yeowun orders treatment suspended. Sensory enhancement and analysis

Nano provides night vision, wide-field vision under blinding heat and light, trajectory prediction, residue analysis, three-dimensional reconstruction, and detection of patterns such as hypnosis. It can listen to telepathic exchanges that pass through Yeowun's perceptual range and calculate hundreds of incoming paths rapidly enough to guide a defense. Targeting and equipment support

Nano's panel and multi-lock systems allow Yeowun to assign many separate targets, including more than a hundred weapons or a field of Air Swords. The system maintains tracking and computes trajectories while Yeowun supplies internal energy, forms the weapons, and chooses when to attack. With compatible future equipment, Nano can coordinate suit functions, intercept electronic communications, and alert Yeowun to device activity.
