Chun Mu-seong — Nano Machine

Chun Mu-seong is a future Sky Corporation director and descendant of Chun Yeowun who illegally travels into the past to recover the martial inheritance his diminished Sky Demon Order needs to resist the Blade God.

Biography

A desperate journey into the past

Mu-seong arrives as the eldest son of Chun Mu-jin, the 117th head of the Sky Demon Order. He kneels in the cult's formal posture and addresses Yeowun as the Order's twenty-fourth Lord and the future “Slashing Demon Emperor,” proving that he comes from a history Yeowun has not yet lived. His respect is genuine, but desperation makes it coercive. The future Order has lost much of its old martial inheritance and cannot defeat the Blade God, so Mu-seong uses a space portal to search the past for someone powerful enough to change that balance. His first plan—to take Chun Ma into his future—fails. He then targets Yeowun as the next-best master and, rather than risk a long negotiation while being pursued, orders a master controller to restrain the seventh-generation Nano Machine inside his ancestor. Nano blocks the external command, leaving Mu-seong physically at Yeowun's mercy and forcing him to explain himself. (Chapters 471–472)

Mu-seong argues that changing this past will not automatically repair his own future because each alteration creates or follows a separate time axis. He has therefore come for a person or for recoverable martial data, not for an easy historical correction. The explanation also reveals the cost of his attempt: repeated portal jumps have exhausted his time packs, and the Time Patrol considers his interference a major crime. His remaining equipment alerts him when patrol officers arrive. They incapacitate him, threaten immediate execution under their law, and try to erase Yeowun's memory. Even while pinned under Captain Mark's foot, Mu-seong warns Yeowun to flee; after Yeowun kills the unit, Mu-seong tries to leave alone so their next pursuit will not endanger his ancestor. Choosing restoration over extraction

Yeowun removes the identity chip circulating through Mu-seong's blood, making him harder for the Time Patrol to track in an era without future cameras and electromagnetic surveillance. Mu-seong then admits his last plan: the controller contains Gatelinium and can copy Nano's analyzed martial data. He intended to extract it quickly and return to his own time. Yeowun recognizes the premise behind the theft—that a healthy martial tradition would have improved over time, whereas Mu-seong is raiding the past because the Order's arts were lost. Mu-seong's best twelve-form sword technique and Super Master level are impressive in his age but poor by the old cult's standard, confirming that decline. He apologizes for trying to take the data without permission and explains that Sky Corporation preserved the Order through nano research because it could no longer rely on martial strength alone. Instead of surrendering the archive wholesale, Yeowun makes Mu-seong his student. Mu-seong joins the traveling Order under a concealed identity and begins memorizing selected techniques, internal-energy amplification, and the principles needed to rebuild rather than merely copy a database. His aptitude is strong: he quickly memorizes six techniques and looks ahead eagerly to the Twenty-Four Demon Swords and Sword Force of the Sky Demon. Yeowun deliberately paces the instruction, assigning the Ghost Illusion Clan's Sword of Illusion and rest while Mu-seong's broken arm heals. What began as an attempted abduction becomes a lineage transfer grounded in practice, and Mu-seong gains a route to restore his future cult even though the Time Patrol continues searching for him. Appearance and personality

Mu-seong has hair unusually short by the standards of Yeowun's era and can pass more naturally among its people after changing clothes. He is reverent, intelligent, and intensely motivated by responsibility to the future Order. That responsibility also makes him rash: he trespasses in history, tries to override his ancestor's body, and withholds future information because he believes time is running out. Once those choices fail, he accepts blame without abandoning his goal. He is quick enough to memorize difficult instruction, impatient to reach the greatest techniques, and considerate enough to try drawing the Time Patrol away from Yeowun.

Super Master cultivation

Mu-seong has reached the Super Master level, a major achievement in his future but a sign of the Sky Demon Order's decline when compared with its historical peak. He can use internal energy, telepathic transmission, and a twelve-form sword sequence sharp enough to constitute his best inherited technique. Against Yeowun, however, the form is immediately recognized as neither the Sword Force of the Sky Demon nor even its incomplete version, and the gap is so large that Mu-seong cannot meaningfully test him. His broken arm further limits immediate training. (Chapters 473, 476–477)

Recovered Sky Demon martial arts

Yeowun begins rebuilding Mu-seong's foundation from the surviving archive inside Nano. Mu-seong memorizes six selected techniques and internal-energy amplification in a short period, then begins instruction in the Ghost Illusion Clan's Sword of Illusion. The intended curriculum includes ten further cult techniques, the Twenty-Four Demon Swords, and eventually the Sword Force of the Sky Demon. Seeing the last of these demonstrates the difference between memorizing forms and possessing mastery: Mu-seong recognizes its superiority but has not yet been taught or mastered it by his latest appearance. His access is therefore developmental, not a completed transfer of every art Nano contains. (Chapters 476–477)

Nano technology and master controller

As a Sky Corporation director, Mu-seong carries a controller built to track and command Yeowun's unique seventh-generation Nano Machine. A Gatelinium component lets the device issue a Master ID order and was intended to receive analyzed data such as martial arts and formations. Its restraint command works by attempting to interfere with Nano's control of the user's movement, but Nano detects the command frequency and blocks the intrusion. The controller therefore gives Mu-seong administrative access in theory, not reliable control over a Nano system actively defending its user. (Chapters 471–472, 476)

Mu-seong himself has fifth-generation nanomachines and an identity chip moving through his blood vessels. In his future, the chip can be tracked through cameras and electromagnetic infrastructure; in the past, that network is absent, and Yeowun disables the chip with a narrowly focused thunder-qi sword. Mu-seong says ordinary removal would require an EMP or electrical shock and could be dangerous if the machines shattered, illustrating both the technology's integration with his body and its vulnerability. Time-travel equipment and knowledge

His space-portal equipment moves him between time axes, but each jump drains a battery or consumable time pack. By the time he meets Yeowun, repeated attempts have left only one pack for a return journey. A bracelet alerts him to an approaching temporal disturbance, while his knowledge of Time Patrol weapons, memory-erasure devices, auto-incineration procedures, tracking methods, and legal authority helps Yeowun understand the pursuit. This is operational expertise rather than immunity: patrol technology can convulse and immobilize Mu-seong, and his embedded ID initially allows the officers to follow him. (Chapters 471–476)
