Chun Wonryou is the Lust Clan princess and sixth-ranked heir, a gifted formation leader whose musical-wave perception defeats an ambush but cannot prevent Yeowun from taking her right arm and ending her academy campaign.

Biography

Origins and Academy Entry

Wonryou enters as the sixth-ranked candidate for the throne, dressed in lavish red silk and followed by roughly ten cadets even during free periods. The attendants reflect privilege, but she is not merely ceremonial: the other academy groups fear drawing her fifth group because she combines more than thirty-five years of internal energy with recognized leadership ability. She also understands early that attacks on group leaders are a hidden consequence of the second test and warns other princes not to train alone. (Chapters 8–27)

Academy Tests and Rivalry

Ha Ilming attacks after judging her easier to injure than the male heirs. Wonryou's musical-wave energy spreads through the surroundings and lets her hear the concealed approach, forcing him away after several exchanges. The defense preserves her for the group test, where she uses spear formation with herself at the point and enough internal force to pressure Yeowun's shield line. She reads his announced formation numbers and changes her own shape in response, but Nano-guided variations make those numbers misleading and pull her formation out of position. (Chapters 25–28)

Anger destroys the smooth flow of her final Sword Energy Wave. Yeowun meets it with Butterfly Blade Dance and severs her right arm. The academy treats the injury as a legitimate result of its survival hierarchy, and the Lust Clan delays retaliation because open action would give the Lord another reason to reduce Six Clan power. Political recruitment after defeat

Before her removal fully takes effect, Wonryou seeks Mun Ku's support because the Dragon Fist Clan could materially strengthen an heir faction. Mun Ku rejects her along with the other Six Clan candidates to avoid binding the clan to their struggle. Later references treat Wonryou as one of the heirs Yeowun has already defeated; the corpus does not show her adapting her sword style to one-handed use or returning to the contest. (Chapters 84, 86)

Wonryou is a beautiful young woman introduced in lavish red silk. She is proud, class-conscious, and contemptuous of Yeowun's maternal status, yet tactically alert enough to anticipate academy violence and command formations in real time. Wonryou spreads musical-wave energy through the surrounding area and interprets the returning disturbance as sound, allowing her to hear hidden movement. It defeats Ilming's prepared night ambush because concealment does not remove the physical signal. Wonryou has more than thirty-five years of internal energy and can focus it through a shield at the point of a spear formation. That makes the group's initial charge capable of pressing Yeowun despite his Nano-assisted recovery. She commands the fifth group through numbered transitions, recognizes standard counter-formations, and retreats from a stalled spearhead into a two-line defense. Her readings fail when Yeowun deliberately maps familiar numbers to modified shapes. Leadership and memory are strong; dependence on the known twelve-formation vocabulary makes deception possible.
