Tyson Broner is a teenage Altered celebrity signed to AJ Entertainment. Initially dismissive of Gary Dem, he earns Gary's respect by placing himself between an abusive director and his female colleagues, then later tries to protect Amy Dem from Raven.

Biography

Celebrity image and a costly act of defiance

Tyson joins Gary, Spring, Rachel, and Clem in a documentary built around AJ Entertainment's rising stars. His advertising success and wealthy upbringing make him condescending toward Gary's poverty and Slough, and he uses the newcomer as an errand runner. Filming in the rebuilt town unsettles those assumptions: Tyson sees residents thank Gary, realizes that Gary's connections are far beyond those of an ordinary rookie, and gradually stops treating him as an insignificant outsider. When director Matthew isolates the young stars and demands sex from the women in exchange for projects, Tyson is the only captive who can directly fight back. He denounces Matthew, steps in front of his colleagues, transforms, and attacks despite having used his powers mainly for advertising. Matthew, a more experienced Altered and gang leader, easily overpowers him and uses the beating to frighten the women. Gary's intervention saves them; Tyson recovers in hospital, attends Gary's AFC debut, and openly recognizes that Gary's effortless victory reflects genuine strength rather than a weak opponent. Tyson later lives in the same Ashen City apartment complex as Amy and White. He repeatedly follows the women, partly as a guard and partly because he appears to like Amy, and his awkward attempts to approach her become familiar enough that White notices when he is absent. Tyson detects Raven shadowing them and confronts him, after which Raven captures him and threatens his life to force Amy into a meeting. Appearance and personality

Red-furred Altered form

Tyson was turned into an Altered while young and was recruited because his form was visually appealing for advertising. Activation can partially transform his face, ears, hands, and tail: his face puffs outward, red fur appears, his ears change, a round tail emerges, and his transformed hands carry claws. The form also grants sharp teeth and enough enhanced force to throw a powerful punch. The normalized chapter text loses the animal name in the comparison used to describe his source creature, so its precise species and the source of his Altered solution remain unknown. Tyson's physiology helps him recover from a head injury that would be more dangerous to an ordinary human. It does not make him an experienced combatant. Gary Dem

Tyson first bullies and underestimates Gary. Gary's conduct in Slough and rescue at AJ Entertainment change that view, leaving Tyson willing to support his debut and acknowledge the gap between their abilities.

Amy Dem

Tyson shadows Amy as a protector and appears romantically interested in her. His decision to confront Raven leads to his capture, and Amy in turn risks meeting Raven because she refuses to let Tyson suffer for helping her.

His AJ Entertainment colleagues

Tyson travels and works with Spring, Rachel, and Clem. Standing between them and Matthew is his most consequential personal choice, converting a shallow celebrity rivalry into a genuine act of solidarity.
