Valnar

Valnar is one of three leaders representing the Graylash vampire community at the inter-community school event. When an infiltrator summons divine beings into the arena, she chooses to help defend the host settlement and later supports rebuilding what the attack destroyed. (Chapters 2446–2455)

Biography

Representing the Graylash community

Valnar attends with Fenkelm and Sin because their community uses shared representation rather than a single leader. She admires the vampire settlement as a place to raise children and is impressed when told that Minny is Quinn's daughter. After learning they are not related by blood, she accepts that Minny's achievements belong to the child herself and questions the inconsistent explanation for Quinn's absence. (Chapters 2446–2448)

Valnar notices Galen staring at Sin but does not yet know that Xox has replaced the real vampire. When Xox's divine beings attack, Valnar rejects Andy's order to evacuate, arguing that an outside enemy makes the defence a shared responsibility. She dodges their golden blasts and contributes a blood-aura attack, though the beings' teleportation and healing require the combined group to defeat them. (Chapters 2450 and 2453–2455)

Rebuilding after the attack

Once the summoned beings are destroyed, Valnar asks who the impostor was and why the arena was targeted. Rather than let the attack end cooperation, she and Andy propose rebuilding the arena together so future events can continue. Days later, Valnar joins the leaders' meeting where the Graylash community confirms that the real Sin was murdered before the event. She remains alive; no later fate is supplied. (Chapter 2455)

Appearance and personality

Valnar is a tall vampire woman, taller than most men. The corpus gives no stable hair, eye, or clothing description. She is curious, candid, and community-minded: she questions implausible answers, volunteers against a threat from outside the settlement, and treats reconstruction as a way to preserve shared culture. Powers and abilities

Vampire combat

Valnar has enhanced vampire speed, strength, senses, and blood aura. She can evade repeated golden energy blasts and launch a large red line of blood energy alongside another vampire's attack. The divine beings can teleport away before impact and possess enough offensive power that a direct hit may be fatal, while their mutual support requires multiple fighters and shadow restraints to overcome. The corpus does not name Valnar's family ability, rank, Qi, transformation, or later progression. (Chapters 2453–2455)

Relationships

• Andy: Valnar refuses to leave Andy's group to face the divine beings alone, then joins him in proposing cooperation and reconstruction. (Chapters 2453–2455)
