Tenbris

Tenbris is the winged demon king of the skies, one of the first demon races created through Immortui's power, and one of the two lieutenants habitually kept at his side. He supervises other demon kings, commands aerial forces in the final war, and is abruptly killed by his ally Unzoku. (Chapters 2392–2416 and 2496–2526)

Biography

Carrying Immortui's authority

Tenbris's long service gives him unusual freedom to voice concern around Immortui. After Kronker's defeat, he and Luce question how a demon king could fall so quickly and receive orders to watch the champions and other kings for rebellion while Immortui confronts Quinn personally. Tenbris travels to Unzoku's territory under those orders, treats the local struggle as secondary to the dangerous invader, and attacks when an unknown fighter interferes. Once that attack is effortlessly blocked, he becomes cautious rather than charging blindly, but anger drives him toward transformation until Unzoku threatens to defend his own domain. The final campaign and Unzoku's betrayal

During the final campaign, Tenbris flies with a flock of sky demons against the Divine Brigade and joins Unzoku to end the resistance quickly before Immortui's battle concludes. He pressures Chris from the air with repeated blue vortexes, forcing Chris to change forms to survive the barrage. The partnership ends without warning when Unzoku, seeking greater power, bites off Tenbris's head and consumes his entire body. Tenbris dies instantly; his blood remains only as part of Unzoku, which later lets the opposing group count it toward the five demon kings' blood they need. (Chapters 2496–2519)

Appearance and personality

Tenbris is a winged demon capable of sustained flight; when enraged, scales begin spreading across his skin and dark-blue energy intensifies around him. The source gives no stable details of his ordinary face, height, or clothing. He is loyal to Immortui, comfortable enough to speak candidly to him, and generally observant in combat. Flight and sky-demon command

Tenbris is called the demon king of the skies and leads a flock of flying demons. He can descend rapidly into battle, manoeuvre between aerial and ground targets, and use his wings as attack channels. Flight gives him control of distance against ground-based opponents, but it does not protect him from Unzoku's much larger transformed body at close range. (Chapters 2500–2511 and 2517)

Blue vortex energy

Tenbris projects blue energy as vortexes from both hands and, by flapping, from his wings. He can attack in two directions and later fill an opponent's evasive space with several converging swirls. The first demonstrated attack is blocked without injury by Sil, prompting Tenbris to reassess rather than proving it weak in general; later volleys are dangerous enough that Chris abandons human form to improve his survival. The corpus does not explain the energy's source beyond Tenbris's demon nature or give it a quantified range. (Chapters 2415 and 2511)

Demon transformation and unrestricted strength

Anger causes scales to appear and dark-blue energy to build, indicating a stronger form, although Unzoku interrupts the change before its full effects are demonstrated in that encounter. Luce states that he and Tenbris were created without the dependencies afflicting some other demon kings: they do not require blood or the moon to remain powerful. Relationships

• Immortui: Tenbris is one of Immortui's oldest creations and right-hand men. His long loyalty lets him question plans openly, but he still carries out orders to supervise other demon kings and suppress rebellion. (Chapters 2392 and 2413–2416)
• Unzoku: Tenbris initially treats Unzoku as a difficult peer whose territory he may inspect under Immortui's authority, then fights beside him in the final campaign. Unzoku kills and eats him to add his power and blood to his own. (Chapters 2413–2416 and 2510–2519)
