Muka
Muka is the ninth leader of the Fortuna family, a cautious investigator whose luck ability and respect for vampire law make her a stabilising figure in the council. After opposing corrupt leadership and surviving the millennial upheaval, she becomes one of the principal administrators and defenders of Quinn's restored settlement. (Chapters 439, 707, 1327, 1569, 1722–1724, 2398, 2446, and 2539)
Biography
The Fortuna Leader and the Tenth-Family Crisis
Muka enters the council when Peter's rescue leads the leaders toward the apparently empty tenth castle. Although the Fortuna family controls the tunnels and prisons involved, Muka refuses Bryce's demand for an immediate invasion. She argues that an absent leader's territory still has legal protection, supplies the missing tenth vote against the proposal, and reminds Bryce that acting for the king does not make him king. The intervention prevents personal urgency from becoming a precedent that could expose every family to arbitrary searches. (Chapter 439)
Her allegiance is to order rather than passivity. Muka is frustrated when council rules prevent her from aiding Quinn during his fight with the leaders, yet later supports using Quinn's attachment to his companions as leverage to ensure his return. As the king weakens, she joins Jin, Sunny, and Cindy in planning a lawful succession and privately doubts Bryce's claimed righteousness because she suspects him of killing the knights assigned to Fex. These decisions establish her as both institutionalist and investigator: she preserves rules because they restrain dangerous leaders, not because she assumes those leaders are honest. (Chapters 472, 527, and 707)
Resistance to Bryce and the Tenth-Family Alliance
When Bryce's faction begins coercing the settlement, Muka works with Quinn's allies rather than allow suspicion to paralyse the opposition. She recommends infiltration when direct confrontation would expose their plan, supports the tenth family during attacks, and helps prevent a defeated enemy from escaping responsibility through suicide. After evidence of Bryce's abuses grows, she gathers leaders willing to meet at the tenth castle and helps formulate a transition that must address not only removing a tyrant but choosing a legitimate successor. (Chapters 846, 865, 929–932, 1241, 1262, and 1327)
Muka's value is as much interpretive as martial. She explains Punisher history and tactics, helps Quinn understand the settlement's clone-blood supply, and treats uncertain evidence as something to investigate rather than a reason for panic. Her confidence is not absolute: Laxmus's return visibly frightens her, and her luck sometimes signals that a confrontation should be avoided. Even then, she regains command and directs the group rather than surrendering initiative. (Chapters 1352, 1377, 1433–1437, and 1738–1743)
Return, Celestial Power, and the Search for Answers
During the later conflict, Muka takes charge of vampires left in the Cursed faction's care. Her curiosity and ability to organise people make others defer to her even when stronger fighters are present. At the vampire tournament she uses her coin and luck to identify a position where attacks will pass harmlessly over the group, then helps coordinate the response when Laxmus's guardians attack. Quinn's celestial marking amplifies her into a direct combatant: her transformed hair fires concentrated red blasts, allowing her to kill a guardian after ordinary luck offers no path through the fight. (Chapters 1433–1437, 1569, and 1722–1744)
Muka survives into the world a thousand years later, but the altered history initially leaves her unable to remember Quinn. After those memories return, she helps reunite the old circle, searches for missing vampire tombs, and serves as a bridge between awakened originals and the settlement's present leaders. She remains strict with Minny and practical during investigations, preferring rules and evidence even when the people around her are emotionally invested. (Chapters 1780, 1862–1884, 1987–2004, and 2025)
Stewardship during the Demon Crisis
With Quinn repeatedly absent, Muka becomes the settlement's working leader alongside Xander. She responds to Immortui's attacks by protecting civilians, ordering controlled restraint of possessed victims, keeping Peter informed and contained, and questioning apparent enemies before escalating a misunderstanding. This approach can frustrate more aggressive allies, but it preserves information and prevents their strength from becoming indiscriminate violence. (Chapters 2314–2315, 2342, 2361, and 2398)
Muka continues administering the settlement during the Grand Meet Up and directs its defence when Divine beings invade. She fights at close range, driving one attacker into the ground for surrounding soldiers to finish, but immediately orders the defenders not to chase when the invaders retreat. Conserving energy and treating the wounded take precedence over spectacle, leaving her alive and still responsible for the settlement when the final crisis ends. (Chapters 2446 and 2539)
Appearance and personality
Muka is first presented entirely inside heavy black armour, with a broad, brick-like silhouette and a full helmet that causes the early narration to use masculine assumptions. Later scenes identify her as a beautiful woman who continues to hide her face beneath the same large helmet; under celestial power, her hair lengthens to her waist, turns dark red, and moves as individually controlled strands. She is curious, analytical, rule-conscious, and naturally authoritative. Her caution is sometimes mistaken for hesitation, but she repeatedly acts once evidence establishes the least destructive course. (Chapters 439, 1437, 1722, 1743–1744, and 2001–2003)
Powers and abilities
Muka is a vampire leader with the Fortuna family's luck ability. Her principal advantage is not predictable damage output but the ability to place herself and her allies where chance, terrain, and an opponent's expectations favour them. That makes her unusually effective in planning and survival while leaving her less dominant in encounters where no favourable probability exists. (Chapters 1433–1437 and 1723–1744)
Luck and probability
Muka's ability influences outcomes described as luck, though the corpus does not reduce it to a numerical formula. She uses repeated coin tosses as a diagnostic: a run of tails warns her away from one match, while heads precedes a battle in which the generated terrain gives her a fortress and height advantage. In another trial, her coin leads the group to a precise safe spot untouched by lasers and abilities. The effect depends partly on the beliefs and circumstances surrounding an event, and even Vincent regards its strength as variable and difficult to test or simulate. (Chapters 1433, 1437, and 1723)
Luck is not invulnerability. Muka describes periods of severe misfortune, cannot rely on the ability against opponents whose leader-level speed and power overwhelm the available possibilities, and is injured when the arena guardians attack. Her practice is therefore to read probability, withdraw from a bad match, or create a favourable position before committing. (Chapters 1433, 1437, and 1743)
Vampire body, blood aura, and close combat
As a family leader, Muka possesses leader-class strength, speed, durability, healing, and blood-aura control. She can restrain other vampires, survive exchanges with guardian-class enemies, and later smash a Divine being into the ground with both hands. Her armour and heavy club support the impression of a direct bruiser, but her representative fights show that she prefers coordinated control and finishing opportunities over prolonged solo contests. (Chapters 439, 929–932, 1437, 1743, and 2539)
Celestial marking
Quinn grants Muka celestial energy that can be activated as an emergency amplification. When used, it lengthens and transforms her hair into snake-like controlled strands that charge and fire multiple red beams. The form also exerts a pronounced attraction or fixation on a guardian, briefly stopping him from attacking before the beams pierce his body. The corpus demonstrates this power during the Laxmus battle but does not establish a precise duration or repeated-use cost, so its sustained limits remain unknown. (Chapters 1738 and 1744)
Investigation and command
Muka regularly handles complicated cases, notices inconsistencies, and translates limited evidence into workable plans. She understands the settlement's tunnels, prisons, blood systems, and political procedure, and can maintain command over volatile fighters such as Peter. These are learned competencies rather than supernatural effects, and they remain useful when luck fails or the opponent's power cannot be measured. (Chapters 439, 707, 1352, 1377, 1722, 2314–2315, and 2361)

Relationships
- Quinn: Muka initially evaluates Quinn as an uncertain new leader, then becomes a reliable political ally and later governs his settlement during his absences. Even when altered memories erase him, her returned loyalty helps restore the community he built. (Chapters 527, 846, 1327, 1569, 1998–2004, and 2446)
- Peter: Muka often serves as the restraint and tactical counterweight to Peter's aggression. She keeps him updated, warns him away from traps, and channels his strength toward settlement defence without pretending to share his methods. (Chapters 929, 1723, 2342, 2361, and 2339)
- Minny: Muka becomes one of Minny's trusted adult guardians but is notably stricter than the other women around her. She protects Minny in battle while insisting that affection does not remove the need for discipline. (Chapters 1723–1744 and 1780)
- Kazz: Kazz considers Muka a possible ally against Bryce because Muka has consistently valued law over the first family's power. Their shared opposition helps the tenth-family resistance gain legitimacy. (Chapters 707, 1186, and 1327)
- Xander: Xander becomes Muka's administrative partner after the millennial return. Together they run Quinn's settlement, coordinate its institutions, and represent continuity while its strongest figures are absent. (Chapters 2003, 2398, and 2446)
Items
- Heavy black armour: Full-body armour and helmet that conceal Muka's appearance and provide her recurring public silhouette as the ninth leader. (Chapters 439, 1437, and 2001)
- Coin: A trusted tool Muka repeatedly tosses to interpret the direction of her luck before fights or group movement. (Chapters 1433, 1437, and 1723)
- Giant club: A plain, heavy blunt weapon carried on her back in her first council appearance; the corpus does not establish a special named property for it. (Chapter 439)
