Fizzwell

Fizzwell is a renowned Vampire Corps general sent as its sole representative to Russ and Jessica's public wedding. When Quinn's intervention turns the ceremony into a multi-faction battle, Fizzwell struggles to balance Corps interests, the cameras, and threats far beyond his usual level. (Chapters 1661–1691)

Biography

Representing the Vampire Corps

Fizzwell arrives alone despite expectations of a larger Corps delegation and immediately poses for the cameras. His fame and rank signal that the organisation takes the wedding seriously, while his joking exchanges with Flora and Chris soften the tension among vampires, Dhampirs, and Pure. He also praises Russ's ability to win public support and regards cooperation as preferable to making the Chained an enemy. (Chapters 1661 and 1668–1670)

When an unknown fighter interrupts, Fizzwell attempts to contact Andy and worries that the Vampire Corps will bear the political consequences if the wedding collapses. The Chained's communication block leaves him without senior instructions, forcing him to assess the crisis in public. (Chapter 1673)

Fighting the transformed dragon

Fizzwell initially proposes that the factions cooperate against the dragon before pursuing Quinn. He joins the attack because Andy would expect action, but the dragon's wind barrier cuts the strings he extends toward its leg. Fizzwell admits that the matchup neutralises his main ability and hesitates to reveal everything while reporters broadcast the battle. (Chapters 1674–1675)

The emergence of a surviving Dalki changes the political stakes again. Fizzwell argues that it is now a worldwide threat, yet cannot decide whether to oppose Quinn and the Blades or preserve the Corps' relationships. Ray ends the hesitation by striking him into a crater with one punch, temporarily incapacitating the general despite his reputation. (Chapters 1679–1680)

Recovery and controlled participation

Fizzwell recovers and re-enters the battle around Jake and Flora. He attacks enough to maintain appearances while avoiding a genuine assault on the Green family, knowing Andy would oppose such escalation. Jake recognises that the display is helping him manage the more dangerous fighters rather than expressing a true commitment to defeat him. (Chapter 1690)

Fizzwell survives the later shockwave and demands an explanation as the survivors evacuate the damaged site. He is alive at this last appearance, but the corpus does not establish his later command, injuries, relationship with the Green family, or fate. (Chapter 1691)

Appearance and personality

Fizzwell has short spiky hair and habitually wears sunglasses. His dramatic posing and choice to attend the wedding without visible battle gear make him look unlike a conventional Vampire Corps general. No eye colour, age, height, uniform, or vampire-family features are given. (Chapter 1661)

He is humorous, media-aware, politically cautious, and more indecisive when isolated from command. Fizzwell jokes under tension and reads public consequences well, but the collision of faction duties, world security, and personal relationships leaves him reluctant to choose a side. Powers and abilities

String ability

Fizzwell produces strings from his fingertips and uses them to bind or control targets. Against the dragon, he tries to wrap a leg, but the surrounding wind cuts the strings before contact, and he says he is of little use without them in that matchup. The corpus does not identify the ability's family origin, maximum range, number of strings, blood cost, control method, or whether it can manipulate bodies like Fex's techniques. (Chapter 1675)

He later fights alongside Flora against Jake, but the scene does not isolate a new string application. No progression, named technique, or latest change to the ability is shown. Its only explicit counter is the dragon's cutting wind barrier. (Chapters 1675 and 1690)

Vampire physiology and combat awareness

Fizzwell has enhanced vampire hearing, strength, speed, durability, healing, and blood aura. He can hear whispered conversations at the wedding, recovers after Ray drives him into a crater, and returns to close combat. He also tracks invisible wind strikes through sound and changes in the air rather than relying only on sight. (Chapters 1668, 1675, and 1679–1690)

His reputation is world-renowned, but the dragon's human form defeats him with one hit and his physical attack does almost nothing to Jake's metal defence. These representative losses prevent a precise ranking and show that his general-level power is far below the strongest beings present. (Chapters 1680 and 1690)
