Ekeke

Ekeke is the smaller member of the Skully group that Anon persuades to travel with Quinn. More sceptical than Anon about trusting demons and Champions, Ekeke nevertheless stays with the alliance through Quinn's transformation and the effort to free the remaining captives. (Chapters 2371–2464)

Biography

Joining Quinn under pressure

Ekeke begins as one of Anon's partners in a hunting ground where isolated Skullys are prey. He agrees to add Quinn to the group because survival requires numbers, then watches Quinn kill demons that the Skullys fear. Ekeke contributes local judgment—identifying demon remains and explaining why Morbo will not cooperate—but remains alarmed when Anon proposes approaching battles rather than hiding. (Chapters 2371–2386)

Ekeke initially objects when Anon asks Calva to help someone identified as another demon. Even so, he follows the group and witnesses Quinn's demon form survive attacks that should overwhelm ordinary inhabitants. After Quinn returns to himself, Ekeke crosses the battlefield with Anon and Tuni, accepts shelter and cooperation, and later asks why the alliance is not immediately pursuing the next Champion. His doubts therefore become active scrutiny inside the coalition rather than abandonment of it. (Chapters 2387–2464)

Appearance and personality

Ekeke is a male Skully smaller than Tuni, with the skull-like outer face characteristic of his people. The corpus gives no stable description of his clothing or colouring. He is cautious, questioning, and more willing than Anon to state why a proposed alliance seems impossible, but repeated danger does not stop him from accompanying the others or pressing them to continue once he accepts their goal. Skully physiology and survival knowledge

Ekeke has the bony exterior and forest-adapted movement of a Skully. He ducks a crossfire of red crystal shards and travels through the demon hunting ground with the group, but no individual bone transformation, named attack, or regeneration feat is shown for him. Traits demonstrated by Anon or other Skullys should not be assigned to Ekeke beyond their explicitly shared physiology. (Chapters 2371–2376)

Ekeke's clearest contribution is practical knowledge of demon species, remains, leaders, and local behaviour. That knowledge is incomplete—he sometimes relies on missing tusks or other absent features and marks his conclusions as uncertain. The corpus shows no power progression or later combat upgrade before his final appearance. (Chapters 2374–2390 and 2420–2464)
